In summary

Haliburton Highlands Golf Club is praised for its scenic 9-hole layout, featuring challenging elevation changes and beautiful views, particularly from the 8th hole. The staff is frequently noted for their friendliness and the pro shop is well-stocked. However, some visitors express concerns about the condition of the fairways, tee boxes, and cart paths, citing issues with maintenance and rough terrain. Despite these criticisms, many find the course enjoyable and appreciate the natural setting and wildlife.

A very fun course with some interesting elevation challenges and unique cart path experiences. Amazing staff and a well equipped pro shop! The tee boxes were in pretty rough shape and could be improved upon. the fairways were in very bad shape, however it has been a relentlessly hot summer, so I can understand the difficulty with a rugged course such as this. The greens however were in very good shape! Course staff were all lovely, nature was beautiful, would and will come back again!

My wife and I played this course while on vacation in haliburton based of the recommendation of the cottage owner we were staying at, lucky for us we were able to get a hot deal on GolfNow. Unfortunately this course is in very rough shape… not sure if it’s because it’s September, but it was disappointing to say the least. It’s a shame though because this course is nestled in a very beautiful landscape and the elevation changes of the course really does make for a challenging game. I really wish the grounds keeper cut the grass like a golf course should and had a distinction between the fairway…

Layout of the course is beautiful. Very hilly but walkable as it’s only 9 holes. The greens were in good shape but shaggy. A lot of rain this week so they probably could not cut them. Fairways were only okay. Some very rough patches. 8th par 3 is a beauty with a view of the lake and significant elevation drop.

One of my favourite spots in Haliburton! Between the gorgeous views (shout out to the 8th tee deck!!), lovely owners, and amazing summer staff, and the wildlife, I highly recommend stopping by. The back patio is also lovely for a drink and a snack at the end of a round- good selection of local beer at a great price!

A very scenic and relaxing 9 hole golf course. The course is well maintained with a few areas that get soggy, especially with a heavy rain or two, but overall is playable for any type of golfer. This course comes with a lot of interesting challenges; hills, rock faces, winding greens, etc. Allows players to get use out of all their clubs. The 8th hole has a great view from the elevated tee box that is definitely worthy of a few photos and quick break to check it out. If you are going to be walking this course, note that because of the nature of the course being so steep with hills that it w…

Wonderful 9 hole course with breath taking view above the lake. Don't let the distance fool you, the elevation changes offers a challenge for even harden golfers, combine with bunker and water hazards. Greens are well maintain. Staff are both friendly and a pleasure to interact with. Pro shop offers a wide range of items and . Hole #8 won't disappoint.

This was our second time golfing here, so now we can call it annual!! We can not wait to come back again. So fun to play with incredible elevations, well maintained greens, and incredible views! And the deer that you see are very polite!

Honestly if you don’t appreciate this golf course and where it’s at then don’t post. Great times, great people and great cottage course. Been playing her for over 18 years and will continue to do so. Stop being so hard on the good stuff. Happy golfing peeps PS. Family friendly and frog hunting galore!

Here’s four reasons not to go to this golf course. 1. Don’t disclose polices prior to payment 2. POORLY maintained course and cart trails. 3. Outrageous prices for quality of golf. 4. Horrible service and hospitality. Hope this helps not to make the same mistakes we did…

Staff were great. 10/10 Views were great. 10/10 Tee boxes were rough 3/10 Fairways were a mixed bag. 1 was horrible, 8 was good. Overall 3/10 Greens rough for the most part 5/10 Cart paths were atrocious/dangerous 1/10 Overall if you can get a deal on the round it's OK for a fun round but be prepared to give yourself some free drops because huge sections of tees, fairways, rough and greens are just dirt/gravel.
