In summary

Battle Ground Golf Club is frequently praised for its excellent course conditions, well-maintained greens, and accommodating staff. The course offers a variety of tee options and features a challenging layout with tree-lined fairways and water hazards, making it enjoyable for golfers of different skill levels. However, some visitors express concerns about the slow pace of play and occasional staff oversight, particularly during peak times, which can detract from the overall experience.

Great public course. Course conditions are excellent and staff are great to work with.

The Battle Ground Golf Club is an 18-hole, parkland-style course. All holes, except the par 3s, have tree-lined fairways. There are five standard tee options, plus three mixed tee options on the scorecard, offering eight different overall playing lengths. Fairways are generous; however, several holes are tight in the landing area. Three holes have water hazards. Greens are elevated and have at least one greenside bunker, many of which are deep, thus playing away from bunkers key to a good round. Greens may look big, though many play small, as most have false fronts and there is runoff on the s…

My husband and I played this course for the first time today. It was in great shape and a very enjoyable course. We will definitely play it again.

Course is in great shape and the staff is very friendly! They do a great job hosting tournaments for the juniors with plenty of carts for rentals as well.

Battleground Golf Club has an amazing course! The staff is inconsiderate and bird dogs on every hole. Our experience was a foursome with two carts and we let other golfers play through as courtesy however we were getting Pace notifications. Other players were playing best ball and not finishing out the hole. Not a good experience if you are new to the game or trying to improve on your game. Battleground Golf Course will definitely not be on my future list to play!!!!!!

Fun and a little challenging, relatively wide open, water on three holes, a few bunkers. Driving range, putting green and chipping area.

This course is in excellent condition. The greens are fast with subtle breaks. The rough is not too high. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. In particular, Jackson, Matt & Morgan are outstanding. The range & practice bunker are near the first tee. You hit off real grass so you can always tee up your driver, not like some other local courses. They have discounts at other O'Neal Management properties when events are on the course. There are hotdogs & hamburgers available in the proshop as well as soft drinks, beer & mixed drinks. It would be nice if the bar/restaurant could open as th…

Came as an out of towner doing a golf road trip through the midwest, excellent course by all metrics. Price, quality, and enjoyment at all there. Additionally the course pro, Matt, is the most chill course pro I’ve met. I’m no Tiger by any means, but out of the courses I have played this one definitely ranks among the best experiences I’ve had as an avid golfer.

To start our day we order drinks that they served in bags of ice, we grabbed our own cooler and it was questioned by staff. Course was well maintained but not able to be enjoyed. Tee times were stacked on top of eachother with foursomes in front of two somes. After allowing smaller faster group play thru then we was rushed and supervised by staff as we played. Management needs improved.

Very nice course and a career round. Greens are challenging and fun. Great sand traps too. Dog at the turn was sub par, and the ranger told us we were behind pace with no one ahead or behind us, which was odd. Great spot if it isn't busy.

BGC is a fun course that is well maintained overall. Compared to other courses in the area, I believe its the best value for the condition the course is in compared to the price. The staff are polite and helpful, especially, Bob. I never have issues getting a t-time, but the course does get a little crowded on Friday evening rounds and during weekend rounds. So, it's good to be prepared to be out there the full 4-5 hours during peak hours. The upgrades they made last year are nice with the more fluffy sand bunkers, to the signs and benches on each hole. I would recommend this course to friends…
