This golf course actually has a bears den on the course. See photos. This course is associated with Timberlane Resort located on Long Lake near Park Rapids MN. The course features a practice hole to get you ready for the 9 hole course. From the lodge you have excellent views of Long Lake. If you are looking to play 9 or 18 holes this course is challenging with deep roughs. The fees are very reasonable. Check it out for yourself.

Absolutely beautiful greens, the best in the area, even of any pro course! Free practice hole was beautiful and a great way to warm up; staff were nice! Signage needs a little help between 3 and 4 as we suddenly were playing hole 9. There was no hot dogs or food but had chips, drinks and candy! Easily a Hidden Gem in the area that We'll definitely play again!

Course was good, we were visiting with a group of 4 average golfers. Played 9 holes and had a 12:12 tee time, we were stopped at 1:40 on hole 7 saying we were playing too slow and needed to finish. This was after we let a group of kids play past us. Again, good course but if you want to enjoy your round I wouldn’t come back here. Side note: we saw a total of 3 groups on the course so it was not busy whatsoever.

Full length 9 hole course in championship conditions. Located at Timberlane Resort just outside Park Rapids. Great place to play!

I've been golfing at Bears Den since 2007, and absolutely loved Lee and Cathy. I was saddened to hear that they had sold the business, and was worried about what would happen when the new owners took over. Well I golfed there yesterday for the first time this year, and the improvements were absolutely stunning! Bravo to everyone involved in the transformation of this golf course. I was blown away. If you haven't golfed this course yet, do so. If you have golfed Bears Den in the past, you are going to be very pleasantly surprised when you see what it looks like now. Thanks again!

The new owners are so nice and have a beautiful piece of property. The golf course is in great condition and is super playable. Looking forward to going back.

The older guy who apparently owns the course took one look at our group of seven wearing boots and coats on a cloudy, windy, 40 degree day in late October and turned us away. Apparently he wasn’t interested in making $400 in the slow season. They won’t be in business much longer if they continue to be this rude to their prospective customers. We won’t be going back. There was a course nearby that was much nicer with actually friendly staff who were thrilled we were there.

A really, really, really nice course. It's only 9 holes, but we play it twice and love every hole. The course conditions are always great, the greens are large, beautiful, sculpted, and quick but not overly quick. There's not a lot of trouble and the fairways are wide, so you can really grip it and rip it. The layout is as nice as a $100 course. It includes a looong par 4 that's very challenging (8-handicappers normally bogey it), a drivable, downhill par 4 that's really fun, a gorgeous par 5 with a downhill approach that allows bigger hitters to frequently have a chip or putt for eagle, and i…

Staff was very nice and let us play all we wanted for $20.00 with a cart! Fun course with a free practice hole. A good place to golf for all levels of play. Would go back again next time we are in the the Park Rapids area.

3 stars only because it is not a big budget operation, but usually decently kept. There is a bonus practice hole on the way to the first tee, which is nice. Staff is generally pleasant, there is also a resort there, which they also run

The course is kept immaculate and is challenging. Around 3200 yards. After 3pm, you can golf 18 holes and get a cart for $26. Can’t beat that deal!!
