In summary

Berkleigh Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, traditional layout, and scenic setting with beautiful old trees lining the fairways. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff, reasonable greens fees, and challenging yet fair play. However, some golfers have noted issues with certain course conditions, such as inconsistent fairway maintenance and problematic bunkers, as well as occasional slow pace of play.

Berkleigh is a wonderful course with a traditional layout. The front 9 is very playable. The back 9 begins similarly for the first coupe holes and then the character kicks in. A great experience and good food to boot.

Course was in fantastic shape for this time of year. Tee boxes were great. Fairways awesome. Greens are firm but fair. The price is almost too good to he true! Absolutely great day of golf.

Course plays mid to long on many holes and while challenging is very fair. Always a great time- especially good condition late Sept early Oct '25. Leaf management (blown off fairways and rough in many spots) is spectacular. Ty to the grounds team!

Good course with some history! I had an enjoyable morning here. The course is in good shape after a tough weather year and fun to play. Great green complexes and some room to track down wayward shots.

Straight up course with a few blind tee shots, especially from the Blues. Greens are challengingly quick and very firm. Most holes anything landing on the green is guaranteed off the back. Fairways are touch and go with quite a few bare areas. 4hr 30min round. Nothing spectacular, but price is right and will golf here again.

Played there today ! First -$75 rate- the tee boxes had enough grass on them to consider it the rough- sand traps were horrible. If you want to charge $75 in Berks county for a public course - then manicure the course- otherwise lower the price. I noticed the parking lot was not full- and the course was not full! There may be a reason for that - match the price for what you get! Just my opinion!

Most every hole is lined with beautiful, old trees and the fairways are wide. It's a gorgeous course and I can't wait to return.

This golf course was most likely a pasture in the past. The grass in the first cut was long enough to hide our balls and made it difficult to hit out of. The fairways were wide enough, but all holes were very long. As most of the red tee boxes were in the same location as the yellow, it gave the woman no break, making it more frustrating. The red and gold tee markers were together on the majority of holes even though the score card showed different distances. It's impossible to have different distances when starting from the same marker. This made the par 3's almost impossible to par especiall…

The course was challenging. The pro shop attendant was friendly. I would play here again.

Hole 3 bunker has metal stakes buried under the sand. Hit a bunker shot and took a huge gash out of my brand new $200 wedge. When I brought it to the pro shops attention I was told “there’s nothing I can do for you, it’s happened to me and others before”. Well maybe remove them or don’t bury them then? Overall course isn’t that nice. Drive 5 min down the road to golden oaks and play a real course.

I can’t believe they used to host the LPGA Betsy King tournament here years ago! If they so the condition that this course is in now they would laugh! After hearing nothing but negative remarks about the course, I couldn’t believe them and I had to see myself. I played here last Sunday, had to pay $60.00 which I understand being a Sunday and all. But if they are going to charge premium rates, the least they can do is get some ground keepers on board. The first cut off the fairway was like 4-6 inches high! All you so was clover. If your ball went in there, you were screwed! And that’s if you ca…
