In summary

Black Mountain Golf Course is appreciated for its scenic mountain views and unique features, such as the challenging Par 6 17th hole. Visitors enjoy the course's affordability and friendly staff, with some highlighting the fun and casual atmosphere. However, there are concerns about course maintenance, particularly after heavy rains, and some visitors have experienced issues with management and unfriendly interactions with other players.

This is a very interesting track to say the least. The front 9 were almost unplayable due to the wet and muddy conditions. It's understandable the fairways would be in rough shape from the unprecedented amount of rain, but this was bad. Mountain views make it bearable. The back 9 is where this course becomes fun. The par 3 water hole (#13) has a green wider than the hole is long. #16, par 4, must be some sort of joke: the fairway is 20 yards wide and any shot to the right will land on the cart path and roll back to the tee box because of a hill. The PAR 6 17th makes this course worth it. Fro…

Mediocre course and terrible management. Will not come back. Don’t recommend. Old guys at front have nothing better to do than to micromanage because there is no other customers

The 17th hole is Par 6! It was very challenging and fun! The views were great. You can see the mountains almost at every hole. We booked early and the price was very reasonable.

The wind the rain what a day. Mother Nature didn't tell us a monsoon was coming in. We had a great day, course was nice and everyone we spoke to were extremely friendly. A lot of courses took away the twilight hrs rates which makes it affordable for most golfers. The scenery was nice the fair was soft and the greens were running smooth. Stop by the burger shack and had a nice meal to finish the back nine. I will definitely come back.

Beautiful location, lots of weirdness / soul on this course. Not the course for perfect fairways and greens. If you’re looking for a casual course to go connect with the game, this is a great spot. Good price casual vibe

I live close to this course and golf there 1-2 times a week for the last year. The views are fantastic. Course is in pretty good shape. I hear from locals that the course used to be in much better condition. The course can get pretty mucky some time. My favorite hole is 17 which is a 692 yard Par 6.

Nice course overall! I enjoyed the famous Par 6 17th. I would have liked to have seen the Tee Boxes and some Fairways more manicured. The hills are fun to play!

HAHAHA! By far the worst golf course I’ve ever played.. and they charged us full price to play with greens like this.. what a joke. Mowers won’t stop or move out the fairway while you’re trying to drive, soggy muddy fairways, tee boxes are not leveled, this whole course is is yard grass. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY IF YOU ACTUALLY PLAY GOLF!

This course is a gem for a 5K race. I participated in the Valentine Greenway Challenge 5K (February 2025). I loved the landscape and continuous rolling hills. I Hope the regular members will allow us to return next year and run there again. This movement is Great for one's heart, lungs, and legs.

Want to play a round of golf in the mountains? Spend your money somewhere else. Want good service/ people and good food, spend your money somewhere else. This place sucks.

Don Ross course with a Par6 so glad I played. Unfortunately the course isn’t in great shape but has a ton of potential. I hope they put some time into it to fix it up.

The course is fun. Some really cool holes, including the par 6, and it is well kept. Not to mention the price is great.
