Although this place is beautiful, and head always been a great place, recently they let one of there employees go for just talking about there faith. If a place will treat there employees like that, then you know you don’t won’t to stay here and see what they could do with you. Reviews that I write are about the whole experience of the place, how you feel mentally is a big part of the review. So if I’m thinking how could a place treat an employee like that over their faith! Then it does make me worried they do other things they shouldn’t be doing and sweeping it under the rug.

As a wedding planner at Exquisite Events and Consulting, I’m always looking for venues that go above and beyond, and Rumbling Bald Resort never disappoints! The venue is a beautiful place to have a wedding and offers multiple ceremony locations to choose from. The Wedding Sales Manager went above and beyond to help my husband and me on our wedding day to accommodate our needs. When venue staff made a mistake with a table setup, they corrected the issue within a reasonable timeframe. The pricing is reasonable and affordable. A challenge for us was finding a cake baker.

We had a great family getaway weekend. Our unit was Stunning. Golf course was beautiful. Kids enjoyed the pool and putt putt. Everyone was so friendly! We will be back.

We had our wedding November 7th, 2025 and Jessica Thomas, Weddings/Groups Sales Manager at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure, was amazing! Even though I had a million questions and was a little ditsy at times, she handled everything with patience, professionalism, and warmth. Especially after the storm Helene, she had us secured with a beautiful backdrop of the mountains near the golf course. Her attention to detail and dedication made our wedding planning smooth and stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner at the venue!

Jessica was truly amazing to work with from start to finish. She went above and beyond in every single detail. She was so accommodating—no matter how many changes, ideas, or last-minute tweaks popped up, she handled everything with grace and the warmest attitude. Her problem-solving skills were unmatched. If something came up, she had a solution immediately, and she always made sure I felt calm, supported, and taken care of. Just got back from our 40th Annual Bogey Retreat to Rumbling Bald. The weather cooperated well this year and the golf courses were in great condition. Our wives decided to surprise us with a cake from the Legends Restaurant for us to celebrate. It was delicious. Can’t thank all the staff enough for their hospitality in making our 40th trip one of the best.

The pool is disgusting. The chlorine gas really hits you in the face. Poorly maintained facility. We came here for the house rental which was nice. Just don’t expect the lodge to blow you out of the water Edit from their response. So actual free chlorine does not have an odor in water. What you smell in their pool facility is chloramines. Which is what chlorine attached to, like urine, bodily fluids, etc. So there is a difference between Total Chlorine, Free Chlorine, and Combined Chlorine. This place was nasty. So stay out of the pool

We had our wedding at Rumbling Bald Resort in Lake Lure, NC, and it was truly the most perfect venue we could have imagined. We loved the cozy feeling of the mountain loft cabin we stayed in! It was clean and spacious and the location and views were amazing! 🤩

My daughter and I spent the weekend at Fox Run attending a friend's wedding. I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodations, the view was gorgeous, and the interior was very comfortable. I would have given it 5 stars, but 2 things really bothered me. First was the lack of a salt shaker, (seriously, they're .50 cents!) And second was a large insect that greeted us in the hall. I actually was less bothered by the bug. (There wasn't an infestation, I think he was escaping the cold) But supplying coffee and NOT a shaker of salt was a frustrating start to our morning.
