The weather is amazing obviously but the course could use some work. The greens have dead sections and the fairways are pretty bad. Would be a great course if the upkeep was better.

Great location plenty of parking, minutes from oceano and AG. The music on Sundays is fun. Food and drinks are available outside. Love the fact you can park your golf cart and hang out to listen to music. Definitely need some type of shade on the warmer days whether and sun umbrella or Eze up. Bring your chair, blanket and enjoy.

We love this golf course! 27 hole course, three 9 hole options. Two of the courses are more rough and woodsy, and one is more manicured and green. A challenge on all 3. They offer a first tee program and they also participate in the PGA JR program. The golf shop has what you need when you forget something, and the bar and grill is fabulous. The people are helpful and friendly. They just upgraded some of their carts and there’s always plenty stocked. The driving range has a wide area and there is a good sized putting area, with a secondary putting and chipping area behind the clubhouse. There a…

I was just caddy for my father in law. He played with his friends on the Oaks and The lakes courses. The oaks were in fair shape. Greens were punched but good shape. Lakes was in better shape. The fairways looked cut too short. Greens were in good condition.

First time here very nice, well maintained. Only had time for nine, played the canyons. Great experience, somewhat of a disadvantage if you haven't played here before. Couple of the tee boxes are blind but really fun course.

I decided to give Black Lake Golf Course a shot instead of Monarch Dunes, and honestly, this place is a mess. Sunday at 3 PM, no range balls, no carts. I get that Monarch Dunes has taken a lot of the business, but that’s no excuse to let things slide this far. It feels like they’ve completely given up. The course and operation look and run more like a crappy muni in El Paso, Texas. Really disappointing.

Played 18 and it was cheap including cart. The course had some spots that needed some attention but for what you pay it is definitely worth it.

Great historic golf club. Residents have a gem here, hard to get morning tee time.

Love this course best bang for your buck by far and the 3 nine hole course options are great! Oaks and lakes are my favorite. Matt and jimmy are super helpful and the bar is the best! Becky,Clarissa, and Gabbie are super friendly great bartenders and make everyone feel like they're welcome. It's not augusta but it's a great muni.

Staff was friendly. Course has potential. However, it's condition is like a poorly maintained rough back yard. This is especially glaring compared to the nearby Monarch Dunes, which is superb. Both course are over priced for what they deliver, but I would do to pay 2x more to play Monarch Dunes and skip Blacklake.

Canyon and Oaks courses are pretty rough in the fairways. Lakes was the best 9. Not busy though, so quick play and good carts.
