In summary

Blue Fox Run Golf Club receives praise for its scenic layout, friendly staff, and enjoyable walking experience, with some visitors appreciating the practice facilities and clubhouse amenities. However, many reviewers express concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with overgrown vegetation, poor bunker conditions, and unclear signage, which detract from the overall golfing experience. While some guests find the course enjoyable and well-priced, others feel that significant improvements are needed, particularly regarding course upkeep and management.

Great layout! Fabulous walking course. Super fun staff. The views are spectacular. Driving range and plenty of putting and chipping practice areas. Always priced fairly. In the summer 19th hole can be the open tent to sit in the shade and enjoy being outdoors or sit inside with lots of glass to enjoy the views.

I had never played here before, and I’ll never play it again - at least until new ownership comes in and fixes the many many things that are broken here. The worst conditions I’ve ever played in. Crabgrass is EVERYWHERE - tee boxes, fairways, rough. Sand traps were overrun with vegetation.

Sad to say this course is in abysmal condition. Most of it is crabgrass and many of the bunkers are nothing but overgrown weeds and scrub brush. A course doesn't get this bad overnight so it hasn't been cared for in years. It's up for auction and I hope a new owner restores it to respectability. Make it a nice 18 hole course and do away with the current, confusing 3 nine hole layouts.

Looks like it used to be a nice course. Absolutely terrible condition. Nice guy in the clubhouse though. It sounds like this place used to be nice but everything is a mess. Tee boxes.. "fairways".. greens. All a total mess. Over sixty bucks with a cart. Brutal. I hope they improve.

Had a great round after work, played the blue 9, walked it, for the first day open it was awesome, early in the season and the greens seemed well kept. Definitely need to come back and play the rest of the 18 other holes, have a plan to play it later this week even, that's how much I enjoyed playing here. There was not a lot of people after work today, but I am sure it's pretty busy during the regular season, will have to keep updated. The staff was more than friendly to me also, very nice place, lots to golf and looks like they had a funny restaurant, mulligans, not sure how the food is, but…

I reccomend this location because of the strong emphasis on technique and it is a beautiful environment. The reno is extremely exciting prompting young pros and supporting local players while captivating audiences in a professional environment with postive focuses and good morals

This place is in terrible shape and should be less than $30 for 18. Only reason is gets two stars is the fact that most the grass was there…except on the greens. Fairways looked like they hadn’t been cut in a week, same with greens. Tee boxes hadn’t been cut in a week as well. 50% of the greens had large dead spots on them. Instead of blowing grass around on the terrible looking chipping area, take better care of the actual course. Terrible choice while traveling through Connecticut.

First impressions, it had a nice driveway. That is the only nice thing I could say. I arrived early to a golf outing in June 2024 and I went to the putting green to practice. Out of nowhere a large fat man, weighing no less than 350lbs, rushes out and begins to yell "get off the putting green!" So I picked up my balls and began to move, when a second, just as large man yelled the same thing. I understood the instructions the first time and I was in complete compliance with no argument. To my defense there were no signs posted, nowhere did it say not to use the putting green between these hours…

Heartbreaking! It has been some time since I last played there but to see a great course become what it is now is so sad. I understand the work situation but just the people playing can help. Like fix your pitch marks on the greens. Stop walking through the bunkers without raking them. I know it might be hard to find a rake buried in the grass around the bunkers but I found them. Sorry to lose a great golf course.

Beautiful setting, course is just average. Lot of golf traffic and slow play, but for $30 on a Friday in September, it’s to be expected. With a little better maintenance, could be a special track. No signs on tees to show hole layout, yardage, etc. Played from the blue tees, very fair test. Played White then Blue for 18 (as a walker). If you’re in shape, it’s a good course to walk. Worth checking out for sure.

I love this course. Good layout, beautiful views. Most courses in the Farmington Valley had some damage with the back to back storms in late August/early September but it looks like they are doing a great job repairing it! Staff is very friendly food is delicious!

I play here once or twice a week when the season is open, and I feel like alot of these reviews are over the top. They got new carts last year which are beautiful, the twighlight price can't be beat especially because many times they just let you play as many holes as you can get in. The layout is awesome, though if you're not familiar with it can be confusing. As for the conditions, yes unfortunately people are right, when we don't get much rain the fairways on the white and red courses do burn out and are hard, but Im not sure they have an irrigation system on them. The blues are generally l…
