In summary

Wintonbury Hills Golf Course is widely praised for its beautiful landscape, well-maintained fairways, and challenging yet fair layout, with many appreciating the friendly and accommodating staff. The greens are noted for their quality, although some find them difficult to read. Common criticisms include the high pricing, lack of water on the course, and restrictions on cart usage, which some find inconvenient.

Played yesterday and the place is absolutely gorgeous with a beautiful scenic view. Club house staff was amazing and very accommodating. Did NOT have any walking carts, price was very steep, and there was NO water on the course available for players. Know it is early in the season, but it was an 80+ degree day that was forecasted many days in advance. I do not suggest walking (which I did) as holes at some points are far apart. Rough is tough for amateurs and some of the slopes play very tough when the ball is below your feet. Fairways are not cut to true length, especially on the Back. Big…

Today's weather was overcast, but the golf was phenomenal. The course is in outstanding condition! The staff is friendly and helpful and the rates are very reasonable. I have to come back on a sunny day... or during peak foliage... or both! As you can tell by the videos, I was rather talen with the bridges between holes. :)

This was a nice course, I can’t rate it properly because one of the players in our foursome kept talking and yelling to his friend/partner. I don’t expect people to be silent but this person ruined my round, he talked so much and so loudly that I had to plug my ears and hum to myself in order to focus. It’s fine when playing with friends but I think people need more self awareness when playing with two strangers. I’d like to try this course again under different circumstances.

Course was in great shape, greens are excellent! Staff was friendly and helpful. My advice, stay out of the rough, fairways are a premium!

Love the course and landscape. Played it twice in November and the greens were in rough shape. May have been due to the late season aeration.

Great Pete Dye course in great condition! The on course and clubhouse staff was AWESOME as well today! Expensive by CT standards, but in golf destination states this course would have a greens fee twice what it is

Played yesterday for the first time. Positives: shop staff welcoming, course well conditioned, nice layout, good variety of tees, pace of play acceptable. Negatives: range not near course, 1st tee and 18th green oddly not near clubhouse, service in clubhouse a bit slow. Overall a solid value. Will be back.

Great course for the money awesome Fairways awesome greens very kept up well and I will go back there any time I am invited or anytime I want to play at Wintonbury Hills. I had a nice 29-foot birdie putt and three other 20 + feet putts for par on the front nine. If the greens were so crispy and kept up I would not have made those putts, and i shot a 45 on the back nine. Had very good shots all day, I had some really nice drives off the Tee Box playing the draw getting me the extra yardage and those nice crispy Fairways always let you hit a nice shot off them unless you miss the shot. It's a co…

The course was nice and in good condition. What they don't tell you is that they have "dynamic pricing". So, we thought we were going to pay a reasonable rate of $68 w/cart. Oh no. It was $98. If we had known that, we would've gone elsewhere. While nice, totally not worth that price. And NO NOTICE ahead of time. Not coming back anytime soon.

Course was in nice shape, they charged $95 for 18 w/cart. A little overpriced in my opinion.
