In summary

Blue Heron Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained and picturesque 9-hole course, which offers a relaxed atmosphere and a challenging layout ideal for practicing short game skills. Visitors appreciate the friendly and welcoming staff, as well as the delicious food and drinks available at the clubhouse. However, some guests have noted issues with bugs, particularly mosquitoes and deer flies, and a few suggest that certain aspects of course maintenance, such as tee boxes and ball washers, could be improved.

We have golfed here twice for a tournament and I haven't golfed in 20 years. The course is well maintained and there is always a beautiful breeze even on the hottest day. Sally and Meng always make us feel so welcome and I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Some clubs are so pretentious. We had a lovely cheeseburger salad and refreshing cold water after completing 18 holes. There motto is there is always time for none! Believe me you want to go to Blue Heron!!!! The prices are very reasonable as well so you will want to go often.

Always a great time at Blue Heron. Owners, Sally and Meng are wonderful. The course is kept very well. Beautiful setting to play and round of golf. Lots of fun holes over water too!!! Absolutely go play at Blue if you have the chance!!!

A really nice 9 hole course. Staff are friendly and polite. The restaurant menu is limited but the burger was good. The course is rolling and challenging. If you tend to go into the rough, be prepared to bring an extra sleeve of balls.

This par 33 is cut through a beautiful maple forest, which was quite spectacular in the fall. The course has many short pars 4 with hard dog leg left or right. Plenty of elevation change on the holes that creates some interesting shot off the tee. Great course to practice accuracy and short game. The condition of the greens and tee boxes were great for fall golf. My only feedback is that none of the boxes had divot fill in them, and none of the ball washers had water, some were in straight disrepair.

If you’re looking for a course that isn’t too busy this could be the one for you!! It’s a simple par 3.5 course in the back country of Lanark. There are quite a lot of bugs, mosquitoes in particular. It’s a decent little course, I’m just not sure that it’s worth the $30 price tag. The maintenance could use with some more investment or attention to detail. Still a fun course, I’d recommend checking it out!

Played this course at 7am this past weekend. It's in fairly good condition, but the tee boxes could be better maintained and some fairways have dead spots. The greens are in decent shape, and there are some interesting holes. It's a good place to work on short approach shots as all the par 4s will have you 40-80 yards out on your second shot. At $29 for a round, it's a little pricey for what you get. Bring bug spray if you play early morning or late in the evening.

Charming 9 hole in Lanark Highlands. Nice little challenging course and great pace to really focus on your game without feeling rushed

Should have read more into the course before we showed up. This is a par 3 9 hole golf course. The owners were amazing and had a small town vibe. Just was not aware before booking that it was only 9 holes so ended up booking 18. When I got to the 9th I was looking for the tenth and realized that you just do the 9 again. More my fault than anything. Great course to practice the short game.

Owners Sally and Mengl are very wonderful and warm people. They make me fill like I am family. The course is nice and chelleging. I had great time playing with Sue on my second 9th holes. I will play when we come back to Lanark County next year. Keep up the good attitute and down to earth personality. Thank you.

This is an amazing 9-hole course. I've golfed here many times with my friends. I brought my 10 uear old son with me for the first time he's golfed, and it was perfect for him. I recommend trying the course if you're in the area.

I love this golf course! I started golfing there approximately 6 years ago and I just love it. Very relaxed environment, lovely owners and staff, including Chance the golden retriever! It is very much an underated golf course. Even after 6 years, I still find it challenging. The grounds are absolutely superb and outstandingly taken care of. I keep telling Dennis to work on his "cup cutter" skills because my ball just won't go in at once!! We have a lot of fun there. The Mulligan Grill is a nice spot to end a game of golf. The food is prepared with a lot of care and is always super delicious! T…

I have golfed at the course five times this year and my daughter is a youth member. Under new ownership the greens and fairways are in amazing shape, better than some higher end courses in Ottawa. I saw the last comment with a 2 star rating and I have a hard time believing it is authentic. We are lucky that Meng and Sally have taken over this course and are doing such an amazing job. I am very impressed by their dedication and customer service, every employee is respectful and helpful.
