In summary

Broadmoor Public Golf Course is praised for its well-maintained fairways and greens, diverse hole layouts, and convenient location near Edmonton. Many visitors appreciate the friendly and attentive staff, with some highlighting exceptional customer service experiences. However, there are recurring concerns about slow pace of play, attributed to tight tee times and management changes, which some feel have impacted the overall experience.

I seen some bad reviews lately, I played here for the first time this year and had a great experience. The course was in great shape. Range was open and staff were very friendly. We had a great starter. We played on Canada day and it took 4.5 hrs which seems to be the problem with most reviews. For what it's worth, it's in the city so a busy course is to be expected, I had longer rounds at higher priced courses in the area. If one wants a quick round it's best to get out early and beat the crowds!

Agreed fully that this is one of the nicest public golf courses around. Fairways and greens are in great shape. The course has a good mix of hole layouts but plenty of opportunity to use the big stick. Its accessibility to Edmonton is another benefit. Would absolutely go back!

Great course, would be a fantastic private club but is great none the less.

This course used to be a local gem. There was a management shake-up this year and they lost the head pro and some other key people. The County of Strathcona was forced to improvise by staffing the pro shop and on-course staff with County employees from other facilities. They are doing their best, but many of these folks do not appear to be golfers and therefore don't understand the nuances of running a golf course. Just played there this past weekend and had the most frustrating round of the year. Pace of play was ridiculous. I felt bad for the young person appointed as the "Marshall" that day…

Great place for a round of golf, or just a visit to the driving range. Well maintained and a challenge for all levels of golfers. Will be back again soon.

Updated: 12-Jun-2020 Broadmoor is in excellent condition. Best tee-boxes we have played yet. Immaculate fairways. The greens are much better than they look, the Poa annua grass is giving them a spotted look but the greens are running true and rolling smooth. The course is rebuilding the 6th green, so the hole was closed and we had to play their extra hole. Glad we went there to play, one of the best we have played this season.

Had an unforgettable round here—not just because I was shooting a personal best on the front 9, but because of the amazing customer service that followed an unexpected turn. On Hole 10, while searching for my ball in the trees, I was stung multiple times by hornets from a hidden nest. I called the pro shop to ask if they had any Benadryl, and Jessica went above and beyond, she took the time to power cart out to me and made sure I had what I needed to keep going. Thanks to her quick thinking and care, I was able to finish my round. That kind of customer service is rare and deserves to be recog…

I had purchased some golf lessons last season and only made it out once. I messaged Broadmore and they assured me that it wasn't a problem to come out next season and finish up my last two golf sessions. So I messaged Broadmore this season to set up a time for my next golf lessons, they informed me that its been taken over by new management and there's nothing they can do. I told them I have emails and even the receipt showing that I have purchased golf lessons. They said there's nothing they can do 😑 I asked could you at least then throw in a free round of golf? Golf lessons aren't cheap and…

Been coming here for 20 years and the course and staff are wonderful... The biggest issue is booking 8 minute tee times! No wonder it's backed up 45 minutes past your tee time, it's not the men's league being backed up it's greedy management squeezing in 8 minutes flipping times which definitely doesn't enhance the experience. I'll be looking to golf else where if this is the new norm here

Nice course. Poorly managed. We’re at 4.5hrs at hole 14. Big groups, slow pace and no marshall. It’s a shame as it’s a close and convenient course, but we won’t be back. Lots of other courses to pay $100.

Since its run by the county its seemed to haave gone downhill. There is no marshall so with tight tee times there is ALOT OF WAITING! The pace of play is ridiclous. Got to hole 2 and there was a 4some on green 2 people on fairway walking and 2 some on the tee who were new golfers and our 4some behind them. Took forever.

Nice course in the heart of Sherwood Park. Unfortunately the course is suffering from some mis-management this year. Untrained course marshalls, empty proshop and questionable maintenance and upkeep. Friendly clubhouse and proshop staff doing the best they can with limited leadership.
