In summary

Riverside Golf Course is appreciated for its picturesque setting, well-maintained fairways, and challenging layout, making it a favorite among many golfers. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the pace of play and management issues, particularly with the course marshals and scheduling. While the course generally receives positive feedback for its condition, there are occasional criticisms regarding staff interactions and the quality of amenities.

To be honest I went there for the first time being told it was a great course to go to, but it was not good at all. The course was poorly looked after and sand pits were not raked or even touched. Grass was long, divits everywhere and the workers just sat at the clubhouse talking and not doing a thing. If I'm going to pay a good chunk of money to play at a golf course. It should be in good shape! Lower the cost if you're not going to take care of your course.

Had the pleasure of walking 18 holes last Sunday morning. Fairways, greens, beverage service, weather were all great. However, we were rudely instructed by the Marshall several times to pick up the pace of play, while somehow also waiting for the group ahead of us on each teebox. We finished our round in 4:20, not held up by our own abilities but the overall traffic on the course. If you're not prepared to hit into the group ahead of you to satisfy jamming folks through a challenging course at 8-9 minute intervals, go somewhere else.

Course was super nice. The Marshel’s of the course were very rude and rushed us to play a round of golf. Forced to skip hole, and constantly telling us to pick up our pace. No one was waiting on us, and we are experienced golfers. Great course that is poorly managed.

Beautiful lush green course. Not very beginner friendly with all the trees (very easy to lose your ball), but a great experience nonetheless.

Enjoyed the course and the Marshall was pleasant to talk to. Great location. The clubhouse is dated. 2 girls working behind the drink counter in the clubhouse just terrible, one was plain rude and both created no atmosphere at all of wanting to stay for a drink again. An incredibly overpriced drink at that.

Love this course. It's always in great shape and well maintained. It's a bit dry and greens are fast.

**Update** (following day) The following day, the GM of the course reached out to us following our review, assured us that the individuals would be spoken to, offered an apology and also refunded our green fees. "Make it right" isn't something you see too often these days. Golf is a game and it's meant to be fun and relaxing, no matter the stakes. I salute the GM for taking this step and supporting that sentiment. That kind of management aligns with the shape of the course, staff and how golf should be. Respect 🙌 --------------------------------------------------- Course in nice shape, and w…

Golf course was in great condition very green for end of august. I really enjoyed the cart paths and scenic views of the city. Only problems were the pace of play was very slow. Almost 6 full hours for 18 holes is pretty crazy. Only ever saw the cart girl twice in that time. A couple really cool elevation holes that were challenging and fun to play. Price was pretty reasonable for a golf course I’d recommend trying it out atleast once.

Best of the two city courses. Not as crowded as Victoria. Challenging course but not overly so. Very picturesque. Often see wildlife like osprey, coyotes, squirrels, etc.

August 2024. Course was in nice shape. Greens were soft and slow but good condition. First cut was fairly long so it was a good probably for missing the fairway. Only negative is they only have local craft beer, and while it's good they are really soaking you $11 a can. A bit crazy in my view.
