In summary

Caledonia Golf Club is praised for its scenic, forested setting and challenging layout, featuring interesting elevation changes and a variety of hole designs that appeal to both seasoned golfers and newcomers. The staff is frequently highlighted for their friendliness and helpfulness, and the course is considered a good value given its reasonable rates. However, some visitors have noted areas for improvement, such as inconsistent course maintenance, particularly with the greens and tee boxes, and the lack of certain amenities like water stations.

The Caledonia Golf Club has an 18-hole, par 68, public golf course just south of US 30 and adjacent to Caledonia State Park. Constructed in the late 1920s, the course is the oldest and one of the most scenic courses in southcentral Pennsylvania. The course rating is 67.1 and the slope rating is 118. The course is very straight. Lots of par 3's. There are many trees and you will hit them, guaranteed. Hole 11 is the hardest hole I've ever seen in my life. Definitley took a drop across the way. The course is pretty decent for the price. 32 dollars a person for all 18, cart. They don't sell beer, but they allow you to bring your own. Happy golfing.

Condition of the course is not on par with courses like Penn National but this is a course which is built into a forest and rates are very reasonable. The character of this course is amazing and nostalgic. Club selection is vital as this is definitely not a simple grip it and rip it course. Greens are slower than most courses but overall were consistent and in decent shape for being surrounded by pines. I find the course very fun and challenging in unique ways. Loves couple hours away but will def try to get back here a few more times this year. Staff is very friendly as well.

It is my favorite place to golf within the Adams County area and overall just my favorite from being in the mountains and being so relaxing. I recommend anybody who likes playing fast greens to come and give it a shot it's it's worth the challenge and tranquility.

I don't get out to golf a lot throughout the year, but I always enjoy Caledonia. For the intense heat and little rain we've gotten this year, the course is actually in really good shape. The par 5 Hole #2 will continue to live rent free in my head. I cannot get better than a bogey on that hole. But a few birdies and pars sprinkled in will always get me coming back. I liked it so much I played another 9, and shot 4 strokes better. Caledonia is challenging enough for good golfers, but also forgiving enough for newbies and the proverbial weekend hacker. I'd like to think I'm somewhere in between🤣…

A fantastic little mountain course with some tough, challenging holes. Course has seen some better days in a few areas here and there but for the rates and the family / Sunday vibe, it's a fantastic course to play. Do make sure you pack extra water as there is no water stations and course lacks ball washes too.

First time playing this course, but it was extremely fun but a little tight between the holes but well worth the price point.

Welp, I hate to say it but this course is in worse shape somehow then conocodel. As of 8-4-25 at least. Even with all this rain the tee boxes are still dirt and hard as a rock can't even slide the tee in. Maybe try watering your tee boxes? Most of the greens have spots of scaley dead spots and the fairway grass looks like my back yard. Whoever the greens keepers are don't have a heart for the course. The sad part is it's my favorite layout in the area. Besides Piney Apple of course.

They've made some updates to the course recently. Taken out some problem trees and some that were dead. Adding irrigation so some spots of the course are rough. The greens are in great shape right now. Some are deceptively fast. This is one of my favorite courses to play in the area. This picture is hole #9 from October.

I will start by saying I’m a new golfer and I don’t have many courses to compare it to. The staff there was amazing. Asked us questions and made recommendations on which 9 holes to play. He even came out to make sure we were good to go. The shop had everything we need. Now the course had great views and seemed like a nice course to start on. We played on the front 9 holes. I can say the course had lots of rocks and mud in the middle of fairway. It’s early in the season so maybe that will change. Overall great course, wonderful staff, and I’m glad it’s a local course for me.
