In summary

Calumet Golf Club is appreciated for its beautiful setting, challenging 9-hole layout, and well-maintained greens, offering a good value for golfers. The course provides a variety of shot types and scenic views, with some visitors enjoying additional amenities like the driving range and Friday night fish fry. However, there are concerns about course management, particularly regarding tee time enforcement and the presence of unsupervised players, as well as occasional maintenance disruptions and limited food options.

I would consider this one of the more challenging courses in the area. Water hazards on more holes than not. Hole 1 is a strait forward par 4 with a water hazard in the lower portion guarding the green. Hole 2 is a long par 3 with a water hazard making sure you get that tee shot off nice. Hole 3 is back to a par 4 but nothing too special. Hole 4 is the best par 3 we got, simple and basic with a couple of sand traps. Nice 9 hole course with excellent views. Greens were in good shape and the course required a nice variety of shot types to hit par. Prices were fair but a few of my rental clubs probably needed to be tossed. I’d go again.

People joined the course ahead of us without actually having a tee time. They left as soon as we were close to the building. Then we had 4 kids behind us that also didn't have a tee time since the employee told us that we would be fine going right away and no one will be behind us for awhile. They were hitting their ball right at us. Mind you there was 2 of us and we are not slow by any means. They were so close that the ball landed within feet of our cart. I picked it up and threw it in the woods. Too many young kids there and no employess monitoring course. Then there is was no food to order…

Groundsmen were rude and actually were mowing the greens when we were putting on the greens on 3 separate holes. Grounds crew need to learn proper golf etiquette and need to mow in the am not at noon.
