In summary

Candler Park Golf Course is appreciated for its affordability and relaxed atmosphere, making it a popular choice for casual golfers and those looking to practice their short game. The nine-hole course offers a charming layout with some challenging fairways, and the staff is noted for being friendly and accommodating. However, many visitors point out that the course conditions, particularly the greens and fairways, require significant maintenance, and some experience slow pace of play during peak times.

Played today. Course is not playable. Greens are as slick as ice and all putts will roll 3ft off of the green. They should pay you $9.00 to play, not the other way around. Get it together Mayor Dickens. Unacceptable.

Fun public course, 9 holes which can be done in 1.5 hrs at a leisurely pace. Greens are not in great condition but the fairways are kept well

As an Lawyer from india I had perfect time in the Candler Park Golf Course Decatur. Effortless shots. Greens are excellent. Fairways needs little attention. Overall wonderful experience.

A five star experience on a 2 star course - you know what you’re getting when you come here. $9 a round says it all. Expectations met.

Ground Cru watering greens that we are hitting onto. Ground Cru smoking weed at 7:30 AM. Ground crew driving cart onto tea box as we’re teeing off.

Fun, cheap course if you don’t have high standards. Definitely could use lots of upkeep but you can’t beat the price. Get ready to lose some balls in some of the fairways and put in what feels like a bunker.

A charming nine-hole course perfect for a relaxed game. The greens are well-maintained, and the atmosphere is laid-back and friendly. It's a great spot for golfers of all skill levels to enjoy a quick round in a beautiful setting.

I love Candler Park GC but its present state is nothing short of a disgrace. The course was closed for 3 months this summer because of the awful state of the greens and tees, and amazingly it has reopened in largely WORSE condition. This is potentially a lovely little course with old bones -- built in around 1927 when Bobby Jones was a rising star in Atlanta, and with a number of pretty and thoughtful holes -- no.s 2, 3 and 7 are particular favorites of mine. But the City of Atlanta, or whoever is running the ground staff, has allowed the course to diminish significantly in the last 5-8 years.…

Pretty good golf course for the price. Crowded but kept surprising well for the traffic. Would definitely recommend.

Cheap course, if that’s what you’re looking for. And you get what you pay for…Poor quality tees and greens. Overgrown fairways, to where I’ve lost balls in the fairway grass. Crowded and very slow pace of play if you come at peak hours. And at times you’ll have random people playing without even having a tee time. Aside from that, the staff are always super friendly and accommodating.
