What People Say

In summary

Centennial Oaks Golf Club is praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and beautiful setting, making it a popular choice for both golf enthusiasts and special events like weddings. The staff receives commendations for their helpfulness, and the amenities, including GPS-equipped carts, are appreciated by visitors. However, some guests have noted issues such as slow pace of play, occasional service lapses in the restaurant, and high cart rental fees, which may affect the overall experience for some patrons.

Beautifully designed. Staff maintains the course as well as possible. The green fees were lower than average for the high quality of course. Pro shop staff helpful. GPS system on carts a great bonus! Plenty of Parking. Homes right up to course are amazing. Also spotted a ten point buck, does, fawn as well as fox, meadowlarks, farm with draft horses and foals. ( too many Ball marks on greens indicate lack of patron golf etiquette, which bothers us longtime and sage golfers).

An excellent layout that requires some precision off the tee, great iron/approach play, and challenges on the greens or around most of the golf course. Always in excellent shape and a good challenge in every way

Very good food at the restaurant! I ordered the fish and it tasted very fresh.

What an amazing venue for my wedding! I absolutely loved the ease of being able to borrow some of the decorations, as well as the amazing staff and their ability to tailor to what my hopes were. They sent pictures of the various spaces so that I could plan accordingly, and worked with me to pull off exactly what I wanted.

I imagine deals are available for the regulars but visiting from outside the area and being asked to pay $40 for cart rental seems severe. I bounce around the area playing random courses and even though this has a "country club" air to it that's pretty steep. Is it just me? I liked the course and the cart paths made finding our way around pretty reasonable but was surprised to find no signs to indicate which hole we were playing. That's a first. 70 years old, playing from the whites was challenging but not unreasonable. Appreciate the choices.

Course is in nice condition and looks to stay well maintained. The only two complaints are pace of play and a dull course layout. Had a lot of people who live near there just jump on the course randomly. This made it very frustrating to see more and more groups ahead when it didn’t start that way. As far as the layout goes, it’s just rather mundane and straight forward. No hole left me wanting to play it again. Overall well kept course especially for locals, however would not recommend making a trip to play it.

The food here is pretty decent. Though, as it's on a golf course, it is clear it's more of a "golf club hangout" than an actual restaurant. The food is decent. I'd eat here again, but it wont be a regular.

Went on a Friday night for dinner with reservations and a party of 13. We were the only patrons. Waitress took everyones order. Didn't write anything down. Proceeded to pour a glass of wine down the back of a lady and did not apology until she came back with a towel. Didn't offer a free glass of wine for her. Half the orders were mixed up with either wrong version of options or wrong order given to wrong people. Orders came one at a time. By the time the last ones were served the first ones were done. Two hours for sandwiches at a premium price. Now understand why no one else was there.

The golf is excellent with large, fast greens. The food was good as well as the service. However rhe outing I played in was not well run. It was a 4 person best shot that had two groups of 8 and five playing their own ball in a group. When these issues were brought up to staff they did little to remedy the situation. This caused the golf to be very slow with a lot of waiting. I will go back to play this wonderful course again but do not think I will play in anymore outings there.

We had my daughters wedding scheduled there and Stephanie was great to work with and the staff was very friendly and helpful. When covid struck and our reception was going to be diminished and limited they offered us a full refund! I wish we could have had it there, but would still recommend Prairie Links.

Very disappointing evening. Our waitress was inattentive, the appetizer came after the meal and my daughter's hamburger was not fully cooked. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

Awesome course with the best greens I have played in 2 years (pure). Also, if you want to shoot a better round, leave the driver in the bag and just use the 5 iron on the par 4’s.
