In summary

Pheasant Ridge Golf Course is appreciated for its challenging layout, decent condition, and variety of practice facilities, making it a popular choice for both casual and competitive play. However, some visitors express dissatisfaction with the course's management, citing issues such as poor communication, inconsistent pricing, slow pace of play, and lack of enforcement of golf etiquette. While the staff receives mixed reviews, the course remains a viable option for those seeking a well-priced golfing experience in the area.

Nice place for a state qualifying tournament. Easy to navigate and in decent shape for the time of year and conditions. Cheeseburger 🍔 was good!

Love golfing here. Easy to get a tee time and course is challenging, with a great walk. Priced right, too

I’ve been golfing here for 3 years and have always enjoyed the 18 and the par 3. However, the lack of communication and organization has progressively gotten worse. When staff answer the phone and say the course is open, only for golfers to drive 20 minutes and find out it’s closed, that’s extremely frustrating and misleading. There’s no clear structure, no online schedule, and the management shows poor communication and little consideration for customers’ time. This is not the experience I would expect from a course I’ve supported for years, and it absolutely needs improvement.

Worst golf course I’ve been to. Would rate negative stars if I could. The staff are horrible and very rude. You can’t buy a round without being accused of sneaking on and harassed by workers. Even after being kicked off the course (because of a women’s league during when we were playing with no warning prior to buying tickets) no refund was given and we got no apologies, in fact they made it seem like it was our fault for buying tickets without being told there was a women’s only league? Make that make sense. Shout out to John for being awful at customer service.

Super disappointed with the condition of this course, 5 years ago it was really nice and now has just been getting worse and worse every year. It is not properly maintained at all. Last time I was out there guys were golfing in cowboy boots putting marks in the greens. I now refuse to play out there. It’s a shame cause it could do very well as it’s the only public course in Cedar Falls. All 3 of the Waterloo courses are way nicer than this. I hope they make improvements in the future

I called the golf course on Saturday, December 7, to inquire the cost of playing 18 holes with a cart on Sunday. The person who answered the phone said, " I don't want to quote you the wrong price so let me look it up. " After a couple minutes, he said, " $31." Imagine my surprise when I arrived on Sunday, December 8, and was told the cost was $40 and that the quoted price would not be honored. Buyer, beware!

Nice golf course in super nice condition. Love the course, but not the personnel working in the pro shop. Very poor experiences at this facility each time I've golfed here. One particular individual in the pro shop is extremely inept; I would say clueless when it comes to customer service. It's a shame but I won't be returning anytime in the near future. There are multiple well maintained golf courses within a 20 minute drive of Cedar Falls that treat me like they actually want my business.

Always call ahead before booking tee time online. Showed online it was $53 for 2 of us for our tee time on Monday, Memorial Day weekend. We picked the course cause of the rate they had. Arrived to the course and because it was a “holiday weekend” they charged us $80 with no 2nd thought even though we reserved it online. Always Double check. Few groups cut in front of us as well. Overall the course was in great shape though.

Good course with good practice facilities but course etiquette doesn't exist here. Golfed here several times and it's pretty regular that people jump in front of you and regularly play into you. There's plenty of better options in the cedar valley where people have basic etiquette.

They were friendly and helpful. I thought that the rates were fine and course looked good. I didn't play well but that's on me. Anyhow i recommend to go out and play either course (Walter's Ridge par 3 course or Pheasant Ridge the 18 hole course. Good luck and may the balls go long and straight
