What People Say

In summary

Cherokee Country Club is appreciated for its affordability, friendly staff, and ongoing improvements, particularly with the greens and new GPS golf carts. Visitors enjoy the challenging layout and scenic views, though some areas of the course, such as tee boxes and fairways, are noted as needing further attention. While many find the course enjoyable and a good value, some have experienced issues with course conditions and delays.

First time visiting this course today and we loved it. Beautiful place, greens were in great shape, brand new carts. You can tell they are still working on some areas, but overall a great first impression. Will definitely be back.

My first time playing the course. I understand they are working to improve from past unfavorable conditions. My rating is based on value. It's interesting, fun and challenging depending on the tees. The greens are generally on the small side requiring an accurate short game. They are in very good shape. The have new state of the art GPS golf carts. I thoroughly enjoyed my round there!

Sub par course at best. Heavy set girl that works the front counter had attitude. Course overall is OK. Not the best , tee areas need some tlc.

Beautiful views and cheap golf. The greens are under repair and are starting to look good. Great minibar at a low price. Clubhouse is undergoing much needed repair and updating.

In town for the weekend so we decided to play a round to kill some time. All workers were super friendly and the prices very reasonable. Fyi, young kids play free. The pro shop was stocked with plenty of snacks, beer, and liquor. Course was well maintained and the greens were in awesome shape. Everything about this place was 5 stars. Will definitely be back when we're in town visiting family.

For the price, you can't find a better course. The greens tend to be rough in places, and the fairways can be spotty, but it is very affordable and makes for a good time.

The course is in rough condition. I dropped my membership due to the green's with no grass , fairways rough condition with large tree trunks growing into fairways , Tee boxes hard , clubhouse has been in bad shape for a while , the pool is awful. We tried to hang with it and like it but I needed something better to play on. Now just travel around to different areas and different courses and have played on some very nice courses worth the drives.

We were in the area for Memorial Day weekend & attempted to play on Saturday morning. We had a tee time but when we arrived they had a 2 hour delay, which is understanble. What is not is the fact that come 10 am, they would not let anyone begin as they continued to say 2 hour delay. We hung around until 10:30-10:40 and saw no one begin a round. If you have 2 hour delay, if the 8 tee time is not there at 10, you let groups that are there tee it up. There were a minimum of 4 groups hanging around that were on time for their tee times but also were hanging around due to 2 hour delay, unable to te…

First time there. The people are very friendly. The greens weren't in the best shape but seeing as how it is late in the season, they definitely get a pass. Pretty challenging layout. My foursome logged a 74 and a 77. I was a bit off that score but not too bad. I'll come back again.

A great place to play for the price. I play here every few weeks and over the past few months it has gotten progressively better and better, especially the greens! it is clear that ownership cares and wants to give a better experience! I only have high expectations for the future of the course.

For the money it's a good time. I'm a member and it's a fun, inexpensive place to play golf. I've played and do play much nicer courses, but they cost a lot more money. The staff is friendly. We enjoy it.
