What People Say

In summary

Cherokee Valley Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and stunning mountain views. Visitors appreciate the friendly and accommodating staff, as well as the quality of the practice facilities and clubhouse amenities. However, some guests have noted issues with cart paths, occasional slow pace of play, and the need for more restrooms and water stations on the course.

What a fun course and club to visit! Practice facilities: full driving range, chipping green, and putting green. $20/day unlimited range balls, such a great deal. Course conditions: the cart paths are a bit rough in some places, but that doesn’t take away from the beautiful course. The fairways rolled really well, and the greens were absolutely phenomenal: they were so fast and a joy to play on. The greens ranged from smaller circle shapes to large and hyper undulating complexes. Overall, a great course I would return to in an instant. Also, phenomenal view on the front side of the expansiv…

Great course! They take very good care of the entire course from start to finish. The greens run very consistent, more on the fast side but nothing outrageous. The grill is good with nice food, especially at the turn. I highly recommend this course for anyone wanting to play and not only a great course but awesome views.

We were a men's group of 8 that stayed in 2 of the cottages while there for 3 days of golf. Exceptional experience from the accommodations, to the course and to the restaurant. Kudos to Matt and his staff, especially Colby in the pro shop and restaurant server, Brianna. Top notch golf course was challenging and in excellent condition. The greens were fast but true. The 4 bedroom cottages were clean, updated and comfortable. The restaurant was a plus allowing us to stay in place with an excellent menu and food prep. Can't recommend this golf establishment enough and looking forward to a return…

One of the best courses I’ve played at. I will say, the greens have been aerated recently, but overall a great experience. My son and I got in 9 right after the Men’s Wednesday night league got done teeing up. So started at 6, and wrapped up at 7:30. Great carts, great views, and a great course to challenge you.

Beautiful views on this course. Well maintained. Need a couple more restrooms along the course. Never saw a beverage cart coming through our 18 holes.

CV should be a 5/5 all day. Great course layout and really fun challenge. But it loses its appeal when golfers arrive to find out that the range is closed and its cart path only. I think golfers are happy to drive a good distance to play CV. But not when they can’t get warmed up and then have to walk across the fairway and back on every hole. I was on the phone with the golf staff to make the reservation. All they had to say was, these are today’s conditions. I would have said, thank you for telling me and I look forward to seeing you as soon as the conditions improve. Now I’m reluctant to re…

A great golfing experience. Everything here is tailored to make you feel like it is a special round. The course was in good shape (even though they had just aerated the greens). Like usual, the Dye design is challenging and entertaining. Each hole has its own challenge. But the course is not overly penal, making it fair test of golf. The course is situated in a scenic and beautiful location. There are quite a few holes that are picture worthy. The clubhouse is modern and quite nice. The practice facilities are excellent. The cart dash service is also a nice touch. Someone has put a lot of thou…

Gorgeous place and atmosphere with amazing views. If the weather is nice I highly recommend going to sit on the patio. Food, service and drinks were delish. Would definitely go back.

Fantastic golf course and fantastic staff. We were the dudes that had the flat tire today. One call and they were there in a jiffy. It was hot but plenty to drink. We ate there afterwards. Good really good. Awesome atmosphere.

We had a great time playing 9 at the end of the day on a Thursday. The clubhouse staff was great and informative. The 6th hole is worth the price of admission alone. After nearly a day of light rain the course was still in excellent shape. It drains really well.

We are new to the area and are interested in joining the Golf Club. Nick was kind and gave us a tour of the facilities and answered any questions we had. Seems like a nice club with good amenities. Greens looked good as well. The Venue has new updates too.

Cherokee Valley is one of the best public courses in the upstate. Super fun layout and the course is generally in great shape all year round. The club house is nice and staff is friendly. I would definitely recommend Cherokee for those looking for a good public golf experience in Greenville!
