What People Say

In summary

Cherry Hills Lodge & Golf Course is praised for its clean, spacious rooms with beautiful views of the golf course, as well as for its friendly and accommodating staff. The golf course is noted for its challenging layout and well-maintained fairways, though some areas like the cart paths and teeboxes could use improvement. While the location offers a peaceful setting, some guests find it a bit distant from other Door County attractions, and a few have mentioned issues with room odors and outdated amenities.

Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Quiet location, but close to everything we wanted to do. We will definitely stay here again!

We booked this Lodge 3 weeks before our girls trip. We thought it would be nice to stay closer to Sturgeon Bay this trip. After staying this location for us was too far away from the rest of Door County. We ended up doing way too much driving. The Cherry Hills Lodge and Gold Resort was nice overall. The rooms have been upgraded in the last two years. It could use some updating in the halls and outside landscaping, but overall we were very pleased. The price was at least $100 a night cheaper than the upper part of Door County. Showers and tubs were very clean. We were on the 2nd floor and had a…

Cool course, interesting layout and lots of elevation change. Great fairways and greens. Teeboxes need some help and the cart paths are in desperate need of addressing. Just a very bumpy ride, club covers are a must if you don't want them clicking the paint off eachother in your bag. Decently priced.

Very nice rooms with balcony facing the golf course. Very clean and quiet. Breakfast ok. Nice country location yet easy to get to sturgeon bay and egg harbor.

We were greeted by Cole at check in and he was very professional and welcoming. We were in town for my wife's birthday and spent most of the day running around town shopping. When we returned the bar/grill was now open. We stopped in and Cole was not only manning the front desk, but also running the grill and bar. He did a great job managing both duties and made sure my wife and I didn't have an empty cup. Great cheese curds and cocktails. We will be back.

Golf course was in GREAT shape! Challenging combination of hills, rough, sand and water. Would recommend for a seasoned pro or a novice! I'll definitely be back this spring again, but I'll bring my son along for his first par 5 experience! Had a nice conversation with the owner who seemed very proud of the course and happy to accommodate us! We did not experience the lodging or food, since it was early in the season. Can't wait for our next visit!

Beautiful rolling hills on the golf course. My room had a great view of the course and it was nice to be able to sit on the back balcony and watch folks come in. I enjoyed golfing the course as well.

The front 9 greens are a little rough but overall nice, the back 9 is in better shape. Its a great value considering the cost of other Door County golf courses

This is the only place we stay in Door County. It's off the beaten trail, but close to everything you want. The golf course is amazing 18 holes. The rooms are spacious and affordable. Not many extra amenities, but that is what we like. The owner John is absolutely AMAZING. Our most recent trip allowed us a free upgrade to their King suite, and that was a very wonderful surprise. John goes above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We HIGHLY recommend Cherry Hills Golf and Lodge.

Main thing about this place if your booking off a site that is not theirs, you do NOT get the discounted golf. You have to book from their site, which will end up being cheaper than other discount sites, but only if you intend on playing on their course, which if you pay golf, i recommend. The people here are very nice. The rooms are your basic room, ours was a basic hotel stay. Bathroom with shower, sink with small clothes hanging area. A decent size fridge, tv was smaller than the fridge. The huge plus to these rooms was the beautiful scenery once you step out onto your patio or just open th…

Awesome lodging and awesome course to play. My wife and I came up to Door County for our honeymoon and were very impressed by everything Cherry Hill had to offer. The room was very clean and smelt clean as well. The course itself is challenging but I’m one who loves a challenge. Greens are deceptive and hard to read at times but that’s part of the beauty of this course. I had a decent game for my first time here. The Staff including Rory were excellent. I would recommend staying and playing here to anyone of my family and friends and plan on playing here again
