In summary

Chesapeake Hills Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, affordable green fees, and well-maintained course, with recent improvements to the clubhouse enhancing its appeal for events. Many enjoy the challenging layout, though some find the pace of play slow and express concerns about customer service and communication regarding course policies. Equipment pricing and rental options have also been noted as areas for improvement.

Had a great time with friends. I’m terrible at golf but play a few times a year at most. Staff was nice and helpful. The course is fun and in ok shape for being in the middle of January. One of the cheaper places to play. $50 paid for a full round, cart and bucket of range balls. You can’t ask more for the price. Looks like they are building a club house which will be a nice welcomed addition over the small one that is currently there.

Was wanting to walk a few holes at 5:20pm on Monday. Was told they were not sending anyone else out because they close at 6:40pm. Isn’t it my decision to pay and only play 4 or 5 holes or as many as I get in before 6:40pm? As long as I’m back before they close. My taxes help pay for that course and the payroll to run it. The more people who play the more money they make.

My husband and I booked the golf clubhouse for our September wedding reception. Our day was perfect, and the evening here was nothing short of magical! The clubhouse is newly renovated, and is spacious and beautiful inside. We didn’t need a lot of extra decorations as this event space is gorgeous enough on its own! There was no need for additional uplighting (plenty of natural light coming in from the windows and large chandeliers), and folks were able to wander onto the outside space that overlooks the golf course for additional seating and a beautiful sunset view. There are spaces reserved…

The golf course is in great shape for a mid March round in Southern Maryland. The new clubhouse in the pictures looks great. The drawback that I have is the markup on equipment was about 38% higher than retail stores. A box of Titleist ProV1 retails for about $55 at sporting good stores, but sold at the clubhouse for $80. The rental clubs the offered were undesirable and included multiple 9 irons and no variety of wedges. If you are an above average amateur golfer needing to rent, I would not recommend this course.

Got a tee time for 9 am the day before, 4 of my friends so 180 on the tee time, the website lets us pay for it and the whole thing even the website says it open and we make the 45 minute drive just for the gate to be closed and not a soul at the golf course, not even to answer the phone. So great experience appreciate it Chesapeake Hills!

Nice course, fair green fees. Work underway on the course, but it's October so not unexpected. Staff was friendly.

Participated in a charity tournament here and had a great time. I’m a beginner golfer and this course was very tough. Variations and elevation and tight fairways. Even with that I had fun and am sure more talented golfers will also enjoy the course.

Decent course. Clubhouse staff is nice. Hard to believe the negativity on the other reviews.

I enjoy this course alot have played multiple times, however this labor day weekend out was less than enjoyable by the end. We were on pace for playing a standard 4hr 30min round (which was kept track of on grint) when the cart girl we had bought drinks from on hole 8. Jumps in with the group behind us and by hole 16 has decided to tell us we're holding up groups behind us including them. Now I understand the frustration and don't ever want to hold people up however if they are pushing groups out so close together that us playing a standard 4 and a half hour round is holding up others that's n…

I tried to give this place a chance since it's right by my house and they were constructing the new clubhouse but every time I come they are rude to me whether I make a tee time or not. Today they let me go out as a walker for 18 and didn't inform me about the Friday shotgun blitz on the back nine so I had to walk from 12 back to 5 to finish up. The course itself isn't great even for a muni and the staff makes it just a terrible experience. Drive the extra distance and pay the extra 20$ to play a decent course

I had a ton of fun playing here with a bunch of friends. Lots of local knowledge is key here, especially off the tee. Tons of trees and tight landing areas. Driver is often not the choice. Big but fun greens. They were running slowly when I played but thank goodness. This would be a really tough track if they ever got fast and hard. Clubhouse is currently being built and it'll be glorious. People working here are super nice and welcoming. Fun course for a match, scramble, or a Solstice event. I will definitely be back.

Nice local golf course. The staff is very friendly, doing all they could to make me feel welcome. The players on the course were very friendly as well. The green fees and price for renting clubs were very affordable. Temporarily the clubhouse is in a trailer on the car park, but it has a nice atmosphere. I got the impression this is a club for everyone in the community, no special dress code required. The training facilities are really great!
