The course is one of a kind, beautiful hidden gem in Harbor Springs. They have a great selection on merchandise I had to get myself a light blue pullover with the chestnut logo, LOVE! Thanks to the staff & Kaya M and Seth N for making sure every trip is exceptional . 🏌🏽‍♀️

Amazing course and even better staff! Course is both fun and challenging with the greens being in excellent shape both times I have played there. The staff is amazing as well. I recently left my range finder and speaker in the cart after my round, and a week later when I realized it, I called and they had them both still waiting for me. Seth went above and beyond. With me being 5+ hours away and in Canada, he offered without hesitation to ship them back to me on his own time. Seth is truly a legend and this course is a must play if you’re ever in the area!

This place is beautiful. You need to check it out. Birdies tavern on the property is a great place to grab a beer and some tasty food. Ask for Halle as your server. She's amazing.

Nice course thats good for a beginner or advanced golfer. Easiegreen's, with several tight fairways. Pricey for what you get, but their league is a great way to go.

I agree with the other positive reviews. The course is in very good condition and the terrain makes for a very interesting layout, with lots of elevation changes. The clubhouse is attractive and the green fee is low compared to a lot of courses in the area. The only caveat is that there are many blind shots into very sculpted fast greens, and you can hit a good shot that turns out to be not so good. I will return.

Played 18 for the first time on Chestnut Valley. Nice track and well kept. Friendly staff and the 19th hole was great.

I felt the cost matched the course. First time there fun course loved the straight long holes bordered with trees typical northern Mich golf. First 3 holes on back 9 were a little dry but after that your back in green and tree lined faraways. Fast greens. Nice course hidden away from the big guys. Staff, cart support, and bar very good and comfortable feeling. We had a nice round of golf.

Chestnut Valley is a true Northern Michigan hidden gem located just a few short miles from Boyne Highlands. Designed by Michigan professional golf legend Larry Mancour, the course has truly come into its own with the newest ownership and management. Tree lined fairways, premiere conditions and one of the quietest golf courses you will ever play. Beautiful log home style clubhouse screams "Pure Michigan". Now that the Rusty Saw restaurant folks are operating "Birdies" restaurant at the golf course it is a food destination as well with stunning views of the course from the restaurant, bar and de…

I played a quick 9 in the morning with my dad while vacationing nearby. It was definitely one of the more affordable 9 hole rates that we could find in the area but the course did not feel "cheap" by any means. Staff was very friendly and overall course had a nice laid back vibe. I was able to easily book a mid-week morning tee time the night before as well. My dad and I really liked how the course design winds through the woods and the senior tees gave my dad the right amount of yardage while keeping it fun for both of us.

Excellent course! (Just too many trees! lol) This is an excellent golf course and an amazing value! Played a round on a Thursday and only saw a few groups on the course. Played behind a twosome on the front, but wide open on the back! Pace of play was great and finished in 3:30. A hidden gem in northern Michigan and will definitely make a tee time when our travels take us back that way!

Most affordable course around this area. I was impressed with how the course was maintained. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The clubhouse looked spectacular.

First-time at Chestnut Valley, longtime golfer. It was much nicer than I had expected. I really liked how they have many old growth trees lining the fairways with the undergrowth cleared away. It maintains the hazard without losing balls deep in the woods (and speeds the pace of play). The greens are great and treacherous at the same time. We will definitely be back to play again!
