In summary

Chisel Creek Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly staff and challenging layout, offering a reasonably priced golfing experience. However, many visitors have noted that the course conditions, particularly the greens, fairways, and bunkers, are often in poor shape and could benefit from significant maintenance. While some improvements have been observed recently, the course is still reportedly up for sale, which may impact ongoing upkeep efforts.

Absolutely Love this Golf Course!! Feels like home...People are very nice and hospitable, from the owner all the way down to the cart girls!! Very reasonable rates!! I heard that they got a new superintendent a while back and man is he doing a great job!! The course is in great shape and the greens are rolling fast and true!! If your looking for a great place to spend a day golfing or to host your next golf outing look no further... this is it!! Five stars all the way!!

This course has high potential but the greens are in pretty bad shape, Some worse than others but in all, It’s a fair price for course conditions. Pace is usually decent, but today we had four high schoolers in front of us. They would wait for the group in front of them to clear the green before teeing off and unfortunately they don’t have a ranger to enforce pace of play. I’ll play here in the future but it definitely needs some TLC. Staff is very friendly.

Absolutely terrible course. I felt like I was teeing off into my neighbors yard 90% of the time. Clubhouse has nothing to offer as far as food choices and drinks go unless you want a Slim Jim and a Water Bottle. Sand traps haven’t seen fresh sand in over a year or two and most were hard as a rock or had weeds coming threw. I wouldn’t pay the $25 to play here again and I’m well aware how cheap it is!

Staff was very friendly and course is challenging. But the conditions are horrible. Weeds growing every where, tall grass that needs to be cut, dead grass on the greens. Heard the place is for sale which seems to me the owners stopped caring and aren’t investing any more money into the place since the conditions were bad. Has the potential to be a nice challenging course but I feel that this place will be closing their doors very soon.

I consider this to be a "good" golf course. It's middle of the pack with all the courses in the 20 mile Wilmington, DE radius. It's a step above Del Castle & Ed Oliver (not all holes have open fairways where if you miss you're still fine).. also more challenging. Not as tough as say White Clay. Def. Worth the $35 range. I've played 3 xs in the last year and the course is in good shape with some challenging holes.

It really is in much better shape than it was a couple years ago. I played it a few weeks ago and was surprised at the quality of the grass in the fairways and greens - - rough was still a bit spotty in some areas. Greens were a reasonable speed and rolled pretty true. I would rate conditioning better than Delcastle and way better than Porky's. I was shocked when I saw the range had good grass in the teeing area - - it always used to be crabgrass - - this is much better than the range at Inniscrone. Course is short and the yardages are inflated but most of the holes are fun to play. Overall, i…

Not a long course, but some of the shorter par 4s are tight and challenging. Could be in better shape overall (rumor has it that it's up for sale). Take advantage of the inexpensive green fees while you can.

The last course I played on with my Pop. It will always hold a special place to me. They hosted our Veterans Day tournament every year and could not have been nicer or more appreciative of our business in Novembers. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT 20 YEARS! YOU WILL BE MISSED!

Greens were alright... Pin placements were difficult given the rest of the course's mediocre conditions. Players here need to be respectful of the course and repair their ball marks on the greens because the greens are about all this place has going for it.

Fairways and rough were extremely long and greens were pot-marked like the surface of the moon. For the price it's a good deal but lost so many balls in the rough just off the fairway it might have cost more than other places. Hope this was just a bad day

Spring and fall seasons are better than summer here in terms of course condition. Short but challenging , they need to "clean up" hole No. 12... Not sure if owner would pump in more money to make it more "appealing"
