In summary

Christmas Valley Golf Course is appreciated for its unique and peaceful setting, with a challenging layout that includes long, narrow fairways and a links-style design in the high desert. Many visitors commend the course's condition and the serene environment, though some note issues with grass maintenance and the lack of formal amenities like a pro shop or reliable cart rentals. While the course's rustic charm and honesty-based payment system appeal to many, others express frustration with the upkeep of the greens and fairways.

I’d definitely give 0 stars if possible. 20$ to drive an hour out of the way to the middle of nowhere Oregon. To play on burn brown dead grass, hasn’t been manicured in probably over a month and to top it off the so called laid off golf marshal although not directly addressing us , could could be heard complaining about us I think. Very uncomfortable. Definitely won’t be back. Sad after hearing good things about this place

Great looking course beautiful area well cared for. I. Saw a deer mule near there. I haven't played golf here just looking around the area and there is a lake by the golf course and some lots for sale around the golf course.

Had a great day with my son. it's a decent little course 9 holes in a horseshoe configuration. porta potty midway and a drinking fountain for a refill. shade tree at the beginning of each hole so waiting for stragglers in a tad more comfortable. some houses are precariously located along the course so those with a wicked slice hope it's to the left.

This is a gem of a course, from the back tees is long and narrow at 6642 yards, par 72 (9 hole course). Is like a links course in the high desert, windy, lot of sand (no formal bunkers), few trees, flatish. This is a unique and peaceful place to play golf and hit some long drives.

Fairways are in the best shape they have been in years. New water system around the greens will add to the course once completed.

I was disappointed with the course. There's a lot of really deep and knarley grass that has gone to seed just off the fairway. I picked a lot of cheat grass seeds out of my socks and I didn't even get too far off the course. The greens and tee boxes were not great either.

Less than half a mile from my home and usually I don't have to rush my round which is very helpful when you are learning to play consistently and believe it or not,Golf is harder than people think! Love it
