In summary

Clustered Spires Golf Course receives praise for its well-maintained greens and fairways, interesting layout, and reasonable pricing, making it a favorite among many golfers. The staff is often commended for being helpful and accommodating, and the course's natural setting, including wildlife, adds to the overall enjoyment. However, some visitors have experienced issues with slow pace of play and occasional staff interactions, which have detracted from their experience.

Considering the drought and heat wave in the area this summer the course is in decent shape. Greens are above average and consistent. Tees are in rougher shape, and some fairways are feeling the impact of the summer. The course layout and design is fun and offers numerous options off the tee. Biggest gripe is all the hay in between holes around trees, personally these should be penalty areas, not lost ball areas, to keep pace moving on a public course. Possibly the narrowest tees marker spacing I've ever see! (Likely to preserve the tee box during the heat). Also, 16 from the tips is unique an…

Clustered Spires was a fun and challenging course. The greens and fairways were especially well maintained. The course is far from my home and I forgot my rangefinder in the cart. The staff found the rangefinder and sent it back to me free of charge. I was not sure if they could send it back to me at all, so I am super impressed and appreciative of their service. Thank you so much and I will be sure to recommend the course to friends and play here again soon!

First time playing this course. Really nice fast greens. Nice Fairways. Most sand traps were B grade but l stay out of traps. Food drink service was great. People were nice. They fit me in without a tee time. Got to know some nice and really good players. The best part for me it was only $40 for seniors. Why play a fancy $80-100 round when you still shoot a 104?? My 63 year opinion is this is the best deal in town. Not the most challenging layout but golf is golf. Show me how good you are? FOUR

My fiancée went golfing here for his friend’s birthday. For most, this was their first time at this particular course. They were treated very poorly by the managing staff and the golfers behind them. One staff member threatened to kick them out for not golfing fast enough. The golfers in front of them were finishing up their holes so they couldn’t go any faster than they were currently golfing. The couple behind them approached the group and started cussing them out for not golfing fast enough. They were the same people who called to complain to the staff member who also threatened to kick the…

Love this track! Enjoyed many rounds with my son, reasonably priced and very peaceful and fun. We love the animals. Also the driving range is by far the best on a public course because of the real grass, and great chipping facility. Staff is super friendly (except for the starter that loves the Yankees :p go Sox!!)

I recently visited Fredrick Maryland. I had the opportunity to play multiple courses in the area. I have to say this was my favorite. The grounds were very well kept. Clear fairways fast rolling greens. After hole night we visited the Clubhouse. The lady was very polite. She made a great sandwich. The back 9 were a lot of fun. Not a difficult course but challenging. I will definitely be back to play another round.

The course was in very good condition! The starter paired us with a two some from the area and that was helpful as we were from out of town. Greens were a little tricky but recently aerated. Happy we chose Clustered Spires for our golf course in MD as we try to golf in all 50 States! Would golf here again if I come back to the area!

First time here. Thought the course was in very good shape. Greens were in typical early spring shape but still ok. The only draw back was pace of play. Backed up by #6. Glad we only played 9.

Real fun course. I was amazed at the condition considering that it's a city municipal. Staff was very helpful as well as cordial.

Not sure if it’s due to inflation or the fact that I’m from out of town & my course is different 😂 but I was charged $6 for a small range bucket & was surprised to find it was only 14 range balls total…. A small bucket where I’m from is usually 25-40 balls for a small. Tee Time wasn’t a bad price, just feels silly getting nickel & dimed on range balls of all things. Only had one practice swing a club lol

Played Clustered Spires back in July '25 while away for one of my best friend's bachelor party. Course was in fairly decent shape, similar to your local muni course. Not quite sure if it doesn't drain well, because there were some beat up spots in the fairway. Was a little disappointed when I called to book an advanced tee time prior to our trip that Jennifer told me what the price would be because of a drop in rate, then was told a completely different rate, about $15 more than what I was quoted. Nothing really tricky on this course; everything was pretty much right in front of you. The green…
