In summary

Cool Lake Golf Course is often praised for its friendly staff, affordable prices, and scenic layout, offering a mix of open and wooded areas that provide a pleasant golfing experience. Many appreciate the well-maintained greens and the course's family-friendly atmosphere, complete with a stocked pro shop and snack bar. However, some visitors note that certain areas, such as the fairways and tee boxes, could benefit from more maintenance, and the course signage could be improved for easier navigation.

Late summer and course showed it. Fairways some bare spots. Greens in good shape. Not played here for over 20 years. Some greens have lots of slope, not many easy straight putts. Nice challenging course.

We came to relax, instead we made of game out of meditating thru the windy chill. Conquering our 9 holes we couldn't continue another 9 holes even though we wanted to. The course is jicely laid out in a hidden forest style getaway. Snacks on site. Drinks for youth and adults. Great play to have a few hours of you time.

Was pleasantly surprised by this course. Very well kept for the price point. Greens, fairways, and boxes were above expectations. Even the rough was well maintained and consistent. It wqas busy, but not crowded so it was very enjoyable for a casual round. It is an easier, very forgiving course with wide open tee shots and zero sand, so it may not be for high level players looking for a challenge. However we had a great time. (Im a 15 hdcp, others in the group +25-30) Looking forward to booking another round next week!

I’d go elsewhere. No sand, just overgrown patches of grass. Some of the worst tee boxes I’ve ever seen. Greens weren’t terrible but not challenging. For 40$ plenty of other places to play

Great course, they sell beer at reasonable prices and provide coolers and ice. Great hotdogs, etc..

Fun and inexpensive country course! But needs a lot of TLC! Fairways and tee boxes are terrible! Greens decent! Used to be much nicer

First time out for the season and this course is close to home. Went right after work and it was no problem getting on. Course layout is wide open and nice. Greens were a little patchy and needed some love. Customer service was 5 stars and prices are very welcoming. Will definitely be back multiple times this year.

Enjoyed our family golf round there. Great friendly staff. Course was in good shape for having so much rain. Lots more elevation changes than I expected and the greens were a good challenge. Some pretty scenic holes. A nice course and kid friendly. Good food at the turn, the BBQ sandwich was delicious. Recommend giving it a try, not a far drive from Indy.

This course is as great as its name, COOL! the front 9 will offer you wide open spaces and great challenges, while the back 9 offers a wooded suprise. Bring your camera for the many spectacular scenes! They do have offer a driving range and snack bar. Pro shop is stocked with all your needs! The price is very affordable, highly recommended!

I live 600 miles east of here but come back a couple of times a year. I love the way Jeff manages the course. They are consistent in green, fairway and course management. Super friendly staff. Fairly short course and no sand traps but there is plenty of hazards to make you plan your game. I know you will have fun here. Lovely little course.
