In summary

Coosa Pines Golf Club receives mixed reviews, with many visitors appreciating its friendly staff, budget-friendly pricing, and enjoyable course layout, especially for beginners. However, some patrons express dissatisfaction with the course's maintenance, citing issues with fairways, bunkers, and greens, as well as concerns about the customer service and a no children under seven policy. Absolute garbage. $50 for this is laughable. Used to be one of my favorite courses but apparently ownership doesn't care at all. Just had a rate increase as well. Wouldn't recommend AT ALL.

First time golfing on a real course and overall had a great experience. The guy working inside where you pay was super friendly and made us feel welcome right away definitely appreciated that. The course itself is beginner friendly and budget friendly, which made it a great place to get a feel for the game. The only downside was a small interaction with one of the grounds crew members who approached us with a bit of a rude attitude over a cart placement. After doing measurements when he left, we were parked 54.5 feet from the green (the rule is 50), so we were following the rules, but the way…

Nice people with a limited budget trying to maintain a muni golf course. I don't envy them. Fairways are about the best thing going. Bunkers are a huge mess. Rough is rough. Greens are consistent at least. $44 for 18 (2025) and cart is more than it should be, but considering what other courses charge now it's probably in line.

Rude staff and terrible upkeep on the course. It used to be a great place to play now there is a sinkhole on the very first hole. Will not return

Went today to go play and take my little girls to ride on the golf cart with me only to be told they have a no kids under 7 policy on the course and I couldn’t play. Absolute joke of a golf establishment. Immediately called 3 other courses nearby and everyone told me to come play and bring them. Will never play this course again. Too many other good courses around who will let me bring my well behaved little girls and enjoy a round.

Great course for the price. Gets better every time I play it. The owner is really trying to get it in good shape. Make sure you stop by the restaurant and eat great food

Never been to a golf course that would not let my 5 year old ride the golf cart. So much for promoting youth golf etc. I will obviously never return, and the place still smells like a dumpster(FYI).

Best value around. The negative reviews are a bit too harsh because this is a good golf course, and the price is hard to beat. Just don’t be too picky about pristine greens or manicured bunkers and you'll be fine. The course layout is great and the staff here are the friendliest most helpful folks you’re going to find anywhere. If you’re just looking to go out and have an enjoyable, relaxing round of golf, don’t hesitate.

I am going to give as fair a review as I can. This is only pertaining to the time I played in July 2024. The positive is I like the course layout. It's not too difficult for your average golfer. The greens seem consistent and what you would expect from this price range. The biggest issue I had is the fairways. The grass on the fairway is the long. The grass on the fairway is comparable to the rough or first cut of rough as most courses would have. If you hit a low trajectory drive like I do and depend on a 20-30 yard roll out, you will not get that here. You can expect 10-15 yards roll at best…
