What People Say

In summary

Magnolia Meadows Golf Club receives praise for its friendly staff, scenic layout, and the improvements made since its reopening, with many appreciating the course's value and enjoyable atmosphere. However, some visitors express concerns about inconsistent maintenance, particularly regarding the greens, fairways, and facilities, as well as issues with communication and pricing. Despite these criticisms, the club remains a popular choice for many golfers in the area.

Take your money to Ballantrae and play a MUCH nicer course for around the same price. This course is WAY overpriced for what it is. $130 for 2 players to ride 18. Fairways are mostly dirt, dead grass, and weeds. Greens are terrible. No water on the course. The only bathroom on the course hasn’t worked since reopening I don’t believe. It is in absolutely deplorable condition. Beer was $37 for a 6 pack! $37 is an insane price hike. Doubt it stays open long again which is sad. Remember as a kid playing this course, which was in better condition then, for $15 to ride 18.

I love this place — for a municipal course, it’s honestly a great option. I’ve played here several times with groups of two or three, and it’s always been a good experience. The course is a great value for the money, and I like that they use a tee time system so things don’t get too backed up. The driving range is closed occasionally, but that’s not a big issue for the average golfer. I really like the price — even though the website lists around $180 for three people and two carts to play 18 holes, that’s not accurate. Every time I’ve come, it’s been about $30 per person for 18 holes, which…

Wonderful, beautifully kept course in a country setting. Super friendly and helpful staff. Nice little restaurant in the pro shop building.

Wanted to say some good things about this course & facility but after a couple negative experiences I just can't for a number of reasons. The range is seemingly always closed for some benign reason or another, and of course, never an update on their website or by any other means of communication. It's always an hour round-trip for me simply to find out I can't use their facilities. The posted hours are seemingly just a loose "guideline". I arrive at 3:30 to use the range and am told I can't. Ok, fine....I'll just play 9 holes instead. Surprise, can't do that either, even though the course is…

I thought about playing the course again because before it closed, it was one of my favorites. However, reading the reviews and seeing there are zero responses to negative reviews tells me the person/people in charge don’t care. Cool good luck.

I can’t put into words how awful this course is! The management and maintenance is garbage and won’t help you out in the slightest! If you want more than half the experience you would get playing there just go in your back yard and hit into a tree because you would have more fun. The guy at the desk doesn’t know what he is talking about and half the time you can’t understand him! And for whatever reason the price keeps going up as if they’re timberline or RTJ. This golf course shouldn’t even be on the map and I’ll never give them business again so do yourself a favor before you even show up th…

Friendly staff, Good price, and a great course layout. At the time I am posting this, a couple of the greens are pretty rough, but that is because the course has only been reopened for a week. I am sure that they will only improve with time. Make sure to bring plenty of balls because a couple of the fairways are pretty narrow and it is very easy to go O.B.! Overall a great experience and a very fun round of golf!
