In summary

The Country Club of Barre is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained course with challenging layouts and scenic views, making it a favorite among both seasoned and beginner golfers. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff and comprehensive amenities, including a good driving range and clubhouse facilities. However, some guests have noted issues with signage, cart path conditions, and the cost of cart rentals, as well as occasional slow pace of play due to the number of singles on the course.

Beautiful and fun course. They do let too many singles play and we never finished as we let 4 others play through as they were walking alone. Also, you are charged per person for a cart so two carts equates to $120, which is well above average, and explains why we saw so many singles with bag carts.

Absolutely wonderful... ⛳️⛳️⛳️🏌‍♂️👍👊... From winding fairways, elevated tee boxes and greens, this was an absolute journey in shot making golf... Undulating greens with multi-tiers, bring your best putter - Wow!!! This is a course where you hone your game, and, if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere... And the wildlife, from deer to bears, etc. - never had a worry. Beautiful scenery... I could play here forever, that good!!! 👍👍👍👍👍

Love this course! A lot of interesting holes. Greens were receptive, true and not too fast. Really appreciate the new forward tees on 3 and 17. 4/17/22 The course is in excellent early season condition. The greens have been rolled and are fast.

A hidden gem of a course just east of Montpelier. Have played twice. Once in the summer and once in the fall to enjoy the Vermont foliage. Impeccable conditions, with consistent lies through the greens. Elevation changes that are challenging and breathtaking. Wonderful staff and amenities.

Nice venue with reasonable prices but wish the road was paved and lighting after the event could have been better. Stairs going up from parking lot were a bit iffy.

I loved it. My son and I went on Columbus Day. The course was beautiful and well maintained. I look forward to going back in the spring and throughout the summer and fall .

An interesting track indeed. Overall, we’ll maintained; greens in good shape, fairways holding up even with lack of rainfall. The holes are challenging and interesting. But here’s the rub and the reason for only 3 stars. It’s terrible for signage, directing golfers to the next hole! And the cart paths would be better taken on with ATV’s! There’s no Ranger, cart service, water or sand for divot repair.

Barre is always my favorite place to play! The greens are always in great shape, staff is friendly, carts are clean and run great. My husband loves to play frequently and has been a member for years, and that has gotten me to love to play as well! Whether you are serious about your golf game, or just starting out, Barre can accommodate anyone for a fun/productive season.

Literally my favorite place in the state to play. There isn't a hole I don't love to play. All have their unique challenges and the atmopshere is great! Everyone, staff and members combine, are all very friendly and it makes the game that much better to play!! If you haven't played this course, your missing out.
