In summary

Countryside Golf Club is appreciated for its two distinct 18-hole courses, the Prairie and the Traditional, which offer diverse challenges and are generally well-maintained. The club is noted for its friendly staff, comprehensive practice facilities, and reasonable pricing, making it a popular choice for both casual and regular golfers. However, some visitors have reported issues with course maintenance, slow pace of play, and occasional staff rudeness, which can detract from the overall experience.

I cant believe I never rated this place..... I've been to Countryside at least 10 times...and thats conservative. They have two 18 courses and they are both fantastic. Word to the wise.....hit the fairway on the traditional course or you may lose your ball....lol The people are wonderful, the practice facilities are nice. This has been my goto for awhile here and I guess I live here now!

$40 for nine holes with a cart the condition of the golf course is pretty much horrible the fairways are not cut properly the greens are in very mediocre condition. They're doing a lot of construction right now and all the workers drive around talk so loud as they're driving employees working on the golf course have no etiquette whatsoever. They're very loud and obnoxious having regular conversation while standing next to the greens not even considered enough to be quiet while you're putting. I used to go here a lot back about 15 years ago I will not go back again. Many golf courses in better…

One of my favorite golf courses in the area and I have been coming here for around 15 years. There is 36 holes and each course presents a challenge of its own. Prairie is more wide open vs Tradition that is more narrow. I really like both courses and I try to change it up each time I go. There is also two huge putting greens to practice on, a chipping green and a driving range. Countryside has it all and it’s a great place to golf.

Golfing at this course was a terrible experience. The marshalls will make sure you don’t enjoy your time and golf as fast as humanly possible. They shouted foul language at us too. Only golf here if you want to pay to get yelled at.

Tee time was at 12:20. I arrived after catching some traffic in McHenry at 12:24. I asked if I can get a tee time after 12:30 they said it’ll be no big deal to head to the 1st hole and it’s clear for me to go now rather than later. Three times in the past the starter ( old lady ) made comments about tardiness ruining things for others and just rubbed off wrong on me when the club house didn’t make it a big deal like she has. To start your day hearing someone nag and complain it’s like I’m here to golf! That’s why the Mrs. Stays at home when I golf! It’s my peace. They need to find a new way to…

The marshall was very rude and swore at us and said we needed to go faster, but we were waiting for others in front of us. It was ridiculous. Never going here again.

We play here a lot. The price is fair and they have 2 nice courses to choose from. The staff are friendly and courses kept in good condition. Prairie is the easier of the two, in my opinion. It's a good Park District course so don't go in expecting Augusta. They have 2 practice putting greens, a chipping area and driving range. Arrive early to take advantage of some practice time.

So so. Convenient for me. Range is often closed and the ball machine is an absolute nightmare. Many better courses in the area. But, in a pinch, it will do.

It’s a very low key but nice course. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. Well maintained by the park district

Decent course for fun round with bad golfers, but not even close to competition quality. They don’t mow the greens consistently or move the pins around daily, so expect the greens to be bumpy, furry; inconsistent, and incredibly slow.

Course was in fine condition grounds crew were some of the mode non observant people I’ve seen in a long time. Just driving in front of me while on the tee box and instead of moving from where there working on 18 in one of the green side side bunkers. Great course horrid crew today.
