What People Say

In summary

Village Green Country Club is appreciated for its affordability and suitability for beginners, offering a mix of open and challenging holes. However, the course's layout is often criticized for its confusing design and close proximity of holes, leading to safety concerns and frequent interruptions. Additionally, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance, such as poor greens and fairways, as well as a lack of amenities like beverage carts and clear signage.

Sorry to see it go. Glad to have played a round on the last day it was open.

Great value for a average course. Only issue is the hack golfers not replacing their ball punches on the greens.😞

It's hard to complain about a course that had the cheapest greens fees in the county, despite that it was situated in a flood plain, confusing layout, and sometimes grumpy staff all made this course very playable. I will miss this course.

This would’ve been overpriced at $25. Just a bunch of straight line holes parallel to each other without any trees or dividers, constantly people are walking across your fairway, very big holes and not well taken care of, I will never be back, you can tell there is no love put into this course at all, no drink cart either

This is by far the closest course to me. And I do like the people....I do. And the course....well the coursenis hit and miss depending on how the rain has been. When this couse plays well, it really plays well. And there's a good mixture of tight shots and wide open shots. The only reason I give it stars is because sometimes the people who play here are terrible. Not terrible as in they stink.....I can live with that. But people who have no golf etiquette at all.....groups of 5 etc. Honestly, of that wasn't the case I'd play here a ton more....

For the price...eh. 10am tee time and all the carts were muddy. Cart paths overlap each other. Holes run into each other. My buddy and I found in the crossfire of other balls multiple times not from wild drives but tee boxes aimed towards our fairway. VERY chaotic course design. No clear path of to where to go or signs for next hole. The $5 i saved from my normal course wasn't worth it. Plus side...open fairways hard to lose balls.

Village Green Golf Course has friendly staff and a small shop with gear for sale, but the course itself needs work. The greens were in rough shape and the fairways are packed too close together—we even got hit by balls twice. The abandoned halfway house also adds to the run-down feel, which takes away from the overall experience.

Great course for novice and new golfers. Very inexpensive. Not the greatest layout as the different holes come Very close to each other which brings in shots from other tee boxes so be careful.

I've played here about a dozen times. In terms of the quality of the course, the price point is about right (weekdays, $30-35 to ride 18). Yes, the fairways and rough are the same. Yes, some of the greens look like the aftermath of the Somme. But again...you can RIDE 18 here for $30. Anyone who complains about fairways or greens on a course at that price has a room temperature IQ. The issues that this course have are self inflicted. Because of the low price point, the course attracts beginner (or just bad) golfers. This in and of itself is not an issue--but it becomes one when a) you do not s…

I played here a couple Saturdays ago. This is the WORST golf course I’ve ever played. Let’s explain the whole experience. The parking lot looked like a part of the rough with all the weeds. The first hole is laughable, this course should be free to play. The greens look like they have been taken care of by my 8 year old and the fairways and rough are the same thing! By the way look out! The holes are so close together at this tiny course that you might get hit with a couple balls. I don’t think they have a grounds crew and the golf carts haven’t been updated since world war 1. I’d pay double t…

If you get a morning tee time, the pace of play is pretty fast, and you dont have to spend any time waiting at the tee boxes. Course was in decent shape, great for beginner golfers. The only downside is that there is no signage about pars or the direction of the hole, so sometimes you have to drive to the green first to figure out where to hit. Overall a great experience!

Horrible golf course, the pro shop worker is the only good thing about this course. Other than him, nothing is taken care of. The holes are so close together almost got hit twice and had multiple balls taken. Nobody is watching the course and no bev carts. I highly recommend to STAY AWAY.
