In summary

Crystal Lake Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and the friendliness of its staff. However, some visitors have expressed dissatisfaction with the management, particularly regarding the behavior of course rangers, which they feel detracts from the overall experience. Additionally, there are occasional concerns about the condition of the cart paths and operational issues, such as cart availability.

We love the challenge of the golf course. We were told to hurry up by the ranger. We had a 76 year old man with us that loves to play golf who moves slow. So we got frustrated that we were hurried along

$80 dollars for a course like this isn’t worth it - paths aren’t maintained, old golf carts (no screens which is standard at this price range), and houses/roads too close to the fairways - when the meadow or others in the north shore are much better conditioned and it’s a pass

I absolutely LOVE this course! I play there often as I have a membership with Sterling. Steve is awesome! And Rosy, is so sweet. 🩷

Course is in great shape. But.....get ready to 3 putt. Greens are slippery and slopey

As a second assistant superintendent I enjoy other golf courses. This was my first time playing here and hats off to the superintendent and his crew. Course is in good shape. Tough to play but keeps it interesting. Will play again for sure.

Great value here. Yes I wish the cart paths were in better shape. However, fairways and greens are always in shape.

Great shape, fun layout and reasonable prices. Always love playing here! Just wish the clubhouse and parking lot were better but I've read theyre planning on upgrades.

The ranger was rushing us while no one was behind us on the T box and said “if you don’t hurry up I will make have you sit out so a few groups can pass” then was following us for a few holes and kept bothering us. Other than that the course was not a bad course at all. First and last time there

Played Crystal Lake for the first time today and will definitely be going back! Course is in great condition and the greens, though tough, were fair. A bit crowded but we moved along pretty well the entire day - finished 18 in 4:15. Look forward to getting back out there having some local knowledge to fall back on!

I like the course a lot. It has interesting holes, the greens are in great condition, and it's reasonably priced. I'm mostly leaving a review to try and offset some of the bitterness I see in these 1 star reviews about Rangers. It's definitely better than a 3.5 or whatever it's down to on Google right now.

Course can be OK. BUT Management & Employees need some Customers Skills & Etiquette! Far from any country club atmosphere that's for sure. If you're desperate good place to go.
