In summary

Deer Creek Golf Club is praised for its beautiful layout and challenging course, which offers a rewarding experience for golfers who enjoy strategic play. The staff is often highlighted for their helpfulness, particularly during events like weddings. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with bunkers, greens, and overall upkeep, which detract from the experience. Some also mention outdated facilities and the need for improvements to match the club's potential.

Beautiful grounds, but the patio has paint chipping and needs to be repainted. The steps leading up were rickety and needed repair. The clubhouse where the reception was held was 90° and hotter than it was outside. And the brought box fans! 😒 There were balloons left in the rafters from previous events that the staff didn't bother to get down. The wedding was beautiful, but the venue was a lot less than you would expect from an "exclusive country club."

I did not want to write this, because this used to be one of my favorite courses 5-10 years ago, but it is in bad shape and needs a lot of work. Most bunkers were really bad with the exception of a few. Fairways were actually OK. Tee boxes below average, greens below average. Weeds growing all over in bunkers and landscaping. Parking lot is still atrocious. The staff at the bar were really nice, but the staff checking in weren’t particularly nice or helpful. Outdated carts. Until I hear that some money was put into fixing this course I don’t think I’ll be returning.

Deer Creek Golf Club has been an absolute dream as our wedding venue. We could not have asked for a better group of people to work with. They have been so accommodating and willing to answer all of our questions, big and small. We originally planned an indoor ceremony, but last minute change to an outdoor one. Deer Creek staff did not miss a beat and allowed us to execute our vision for a wedding day. Deer Creek is so highly recommended and you will not be disappointed!

Really neat place to play golf. Very tight course and you need to play a "course management " style of game. Some really challenging shots and some really fun holes. I'm glad I had a chance to play.

A friend used their facility to entertain his reception after Wedding his wife. This facility has rooms for your venue and a hotel on site if your guest intake too much Fun. I would recommend this facility for any gathering venue.

Remember the part in Lion King when Scar took over everything looked dead? They used this sand trap for that scene. If you can spot the ball leave a comment. Remember this is a sand trap.

Four or five years ago Deer Creek was a great Golf course. Since they have gotten bought out by great life KC the course is terrible I gave it another shot today and I regret spending the $65. All the bunkers are completely washed out and have several feet of water standing in lots of them. There's trees down everywhere there's large branches in the middle of the fairway and bunkers and even on the greens. The rough just outside of the fairways is super thick they have paid no attention to this course at all. I highly recommend going somewhere else. They have completely destroyed this course a…

We had great day of golf!! Beautiful course! We could have all done without all of the deer and goose poop, but great day of fun. Kristy, at the Club House, was awesome. She was very attentive to everyone, and she had a bunch of customers to help. Food is good, service was AMAZING! Thanks, Kristy, for making our Girls’ Golf Day a blast. We will be back, and soon!

I've played at this course for a long time, and I've always enjoyed the layout along with how well it has been cared for. At some point, ownership stopped caring. We paid $60 for our round this past Sunday, and what a disappointment! The course was in MISERABLE shape! The bunkers were washed out, greens had tons of divots that had not been repaired, tees were super hairy in several places. I know there are drainage problems with the course historically, but it's like they have just given up! It was a round I would have been happy to pay $25 for had I known what I was getting. It's close to my…

Today was my birthday and I have had so much fun with my girls at Deer Creek, we decided to golf today. We have been to this golf course a handful of times and I’ve always had a great experience. Today was above and beyond on so many levels. We noticed that the goose and deer poop was almost nonexistent this time and the staff was exceptional! The bartender was really attentive and energetic and even remembered us, the managers talked to us and numerous occasions and were genuine and willing to help in any way! We did hit one snag when one of their older marshals cursed at my friend who has on…

We golfed deer creek 4 years ago and it stood out as one of my favorite courses. I couldn’t wait to come back and golf it again. We just purchased a stay and play package and I couldn’t believe the shape the course was in. The bunkers were all washed out, weeds everywhere, the course conditions were just appalling and heartbreaking to me. The course itself has such a beautiful layout and amazing holes. I’m hoping that it will make a comeback at some point because I’d love to add it back on my list of favorites.
