In summary

St. Andrews Golf Club is praised for its well-maintained course, challenging greens, and appealing layout, making it a popular choice among golfers. The staff at the pro shop and banquet facilities receive positive feedback for their helpfulness and professionalism, contributing to successful events and enjoyable rounds. However, some visitors have experienced issues with communication and customer service, particularly with scheduling and interactions with marshals and starters, which can detract from the overall experience.

We played at St. Andrews Golf Club for the first time and had a pleasant experience. The staff at the pro staff store was friendly and the course was very good. It plays short, but fun. The greens are challenging because there are soooo many curves. The greens are not flat. We will definitely visit again.

Such a great course even during the cold weather. The course was maintained at exceptional condition. The sand was soft as silk. Tee boxes and greens are so clean. I will come next week again. So far, the best course for the winter in chicago area.

Really don’t appreciate driving 30 minutes from briarcliff to only be at a location for 10 minutes because the venue manager couldn’t be upfront via email that our date nor any near dates were available. We were in communication for weeks and Amanda didn’t think to bring up the renovations that would block any venue reservations anytime after September 2026 until who knows when because they cannot book anytime in 2027 knowing that our date was around May/june 2027. Her excuse was “assuming our date was pretty flexible.” PRETTY flexible is a few weeks difference, maybe a couple of months, NOT A…

We recently celebrated a 70th birthday/family reunion event at the Highlands Room of St. Andrews Golf Club. We couldn’t have picked a better site to have it. All staff, from banquet manager to chef, to facility manager, to bar and serving staff were unusually helpful, pleasant, and accommodating to our needs. The room and tables were set up to our specifications, and the all-inclusive services of the banquet manager and all AV equipment, dance floor, table settings and linens made my party planning very easy. The overall cost was very reasonable. The banquet manager was immediately responsive…

Visited to help a friend throw an event in the clubhouse. The venue was beautiful, and the staff was so helpful and accommodating. Would have liked more time to set up than the two hour limit, but the event went well, and the night was a huge success!

Should prob fire the guys at the check in kiosk. Don’t know how to be welcoming. Staff at the check in kiosk were completely rude, I was 2 min late to my tee time and they were super unprofessional about it and assumed I was gonna stay on the course for 18 holes when I only paid for 9. But I made no intent of staying for the extra unpaid holes. In fact I was apologetic about being late was willing to wait for next group to go. Staff in the proshop were nice and had a welcoming atmosphere and the course layout was great and not hard or too easy. Greens were high quality as well.

Nice course. Marshalls were in control but still nice. Banquet facilities have good views and the food was great.

Probably one of the best practice ranges I've been too. I really like the challenges and the mats and Tee boxes there. It was very nice, clean and well maintained. The pro-shop staff were excellent and very helpful. The staff in the grill were very helpful and nice as well. The beautiful lay out of the dining area was beyond my expectations.

Overall, I enjoyed the course - it was in good condition and had a fun layout. However, my experience with the marshals and starters left a lot to be desired. Despite having a tee time scheduled for 1:48 PM on a Thursday afternoon, I was told to tee off at 1:30 PM when I was waiting for my wife to arrive. The staff was incredibly rude and seemed to have little regard for my plans. When I explained that I would not tee off early because I was waiting for my wife, they were unaccommodating and insisted that there was a foursome behind us (who had not even checked in with the starter yet). Ultima…

I had group lessons with Garret. He was very patient, professional and kind. I had no experience. If you're a girl nervous about lessons, you'll feel welcome here.

I had not played here in at least 20 years before they significantly redesigned and rebuilt the course. Whoever was the architect knew what they were doing. This is a fun little gem, and I did not recognize much of the had been. Much improved!

Great course! Traditional in it's layout, both friendly and challenging. This tree lined course in Overland Park has an intriguing appeal. Well maintained, even despite the recent aerated greens we had to play on. Several "go-for-it" holes accompanied with undulating, challenging greens. My group was from Wichita and very used to the trees, but not the hills. Blind corners but a great experience. Will come back soon. 👍
