In summary

Deer Haven Golf Course is appreciated for its friendly staff, reasonable prices, and suitability for beginners, with some visitors noting it as a good venue for events like weddings. However, many reviews highlight issues with course maintenance, including poorly kept greens and tee boxes, and some customers have reported negative interactions with management. Despite these concerns, the driving range and overall layout are generally well-received.

I am not a picky golfer. I like a low key course. Deer Haven is in not in good shape. The people are nice and the driving range is nice. It would be a fun little course with some care. I wish they would turn it around. Greens are brown and tees aren’t mowed properly.

A decent Par 3 course that's great for beginners or anyone wanting to work on their iron game. The staff as always been friendly, respectful and knowledgeable with our groups. The tee boxes do need work, but the rest of the course has been well maintained and the greens play nicely. They offer great variety of specials / deals.

Easily the worst golf course I’ve ever played. Tee boxes aren’t cut. Grass is the same everywhere so there is no fairways. Everything is like hitting out of the rough. Greens were brown and felt like I was putting on my carpet. And to top it off, the cart ran out of gas on the 7th hole. Employees in the club house were very nice! But I would never recommend golfing here and will never go back.

Our reception was great! The banquet hall was spacious, well-laid out and accommodating. There was plenty of parking. Jeff (manager) and Bob (caterer) were both great to work with...covered details thoroughly, quick to respond, had answers to all questions and were incredibly flexible! The night couldn't have been better.

I've played golf for 20yrs I've played alot of courses. This Course Deer Haven is terrible. The greens have anthills and patches missing. The tee boxes and "fairways" are cut the same and are not weeded dandelions everywhere. The carts are old and horrible and are likely to die 4 holes in. I've played this course a few times over the years an up until last year i could overlook all of this because it was cheap $15-$18 riding for 9. Went a couple weeks ago they now charge $25! Had a huge stack of photo copied scorecards. This place could be nice but IT IS NOT. Over priced an not maintained. I w…

Great shorter Course. Friendly Staff. Awesome deals. It's unfortunately that others had issues - but being a family business they give you very much respect AND GREAT SERVICE! Other wise they would not have other great reviews and customer coming back regularly. When I read these issues - it's people being very selfish and trying to do their own thing - like look for balls slowing every one else up or bringing your own beer. Not fair a business has to put up with selfish people giving bad ratings.

My wife and I played at Deer Haven today. The course has improved from previous reviews. The greens are in excellent condition. The fairways are mixed. A couple of holes are very tight with deep woods and marsh on either side. No room for error. Two of the par 3's require your tee shot to carry to the greens. My wife was unable to hit from the tee on these holes. (It was her first time on a golf course in years.) Aside from some fairway issues, I found Deer Haven a good course to practice my short game. The course is easy to get on before 3 pm on weekdays.

Visited the range today. Markers out to 250 and very easy to see where your ball is from 80+. Nice mats, nice mix of new range balls and real playing balls that I assume others lost. Gave me a chance to try a few balls I was wanting to give a swing or two. Priced right, will return!

Similar Experience to a previous reviewer regarding the staff. We had a disagreement on the course (and I'm not saying we weren't wrong, as we were). However, the "manager" chose the approach of yelling, talking over us, refusing to have a normal conversation to address the issue. We were trying to be adults about it. It felt like it was a power-trip gone wrong - and an opportunity for him to puff out his chest. It's not like we were at Augusta National. When I offered up a solution, the manager blew it off, and asked us not to return. He referred to us as disrespectful to him multiple times,…

Deer Haven is an executive style course with a few Par 4s and the rest Par 3s. It's typically not too crowded, and you can walk/play 9 holes in just over an hour. There are several "target golf" holes, where a short, accurate tee shot is required to keep your ball in play. Very reasonable prices, friendly staff and a good overall experience.

Just as previous reviews have stated... it is in terrible shape. This 9 hole course could be really nice If they took care of it. Sunday afternoon and we were 2 of 4 people on the whole course. The worst part about it is that they still charge $15/person !

Played there 3 weeks ago, it was the worst experience I ever had on any golf courses I have played. The owner or the guy at the driving range was so rude. I bought a small bucket of range balls and warmed up at the range and hit a few loose balls that went only few yards away. There were no other golfers nearby me. I went to retrieve those balls. The own yelled at me for doing that using nasty language. He claimed those balls were his balls. I can't believe it. There must be something wrong with him mentally, so disgusting !!!!!!!!!!!
