In summary

The Dunes Golf Course at Kamloops is frequently praised for its well-maintained fairways and greens, scenic layout, and welcoming staff, making it a popular choice for both golf and events. The venue is noted for its excellent facilities and beautiful setting, which enhances its appeal for weddings and celebrations. However, some visitors have raised concerns about the condition of the bunkers, lack of water stations, and insufficient signage on the course, which could impact the overall experience for some golfers.

Great experience at The Dunes at Kamloops during the 2025 Canadian All Abilities Championship. The course was in phenomenal shape, challenging yet fair, with beautifully maintained fairways and greens that rolled true. The layout is scenic and strategic, making it a joy to play from start to finish. The staff and volunteers went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and supported throughout the championship. It’s clear The Dunes is more than just a golf course, it’s a community hub that genuinely embraces inclusive sport. Proud to be competing here, and I’ll absolutely be back. High…

We held a 90th birthday celebration at Dunes Golf Course and it was a great choice. The banquet room was an excellent venue, the staff were very helpful, and the view of the course was fantastic. You could tell the course itself was in great shape. Special thanks to Kim and the rest of the staff for helping make the 90th birthday celebration such a success!

Played the course with my wife on Thursday as we passed through on our way home. This course is a golfers golf course. Tough, yet playable. I’ve not played a course in better condition in ages. The grounds crew should be proud. Well cut rough and perfect fairways My experience in the sand, while not overly frequent (thankfully) was that the condition of the sand was fine and playable. Beware! There are lots of bunkers. After a few moments of rain the day turned out to be perfect for an early day round. I have two observations. A) there are no water stations to fill up a water bottle anywhere.…

This is a links course. There is sand but there are many many, too many hills. Over achieved on design. Course is not amateur friendly. Did I say sand? No it's road base at best. Like hitting off a forestry road. So, can't give 4 stars and it's light years from 5 stars. Seriously, the Big Horn is a much better course.

We held our wedding reception at The Dunes this month, and it was everything we’d imagined! The events coordinator, Kim, was amazing and extremely helpful throughout the 19 months of planning. She responded to emails, sent photos of things I had questions about, and provided all the information we needed to make our wedding reception a huge success. The banquet hall at The Dunes is beautiful; it was the perfect space to hold our reception of approximately 105 people (though it has a max capacity of 160). We were allowed to decorate the evening before our wedding, and we didn’t have to come bac…

we came to the club on a guys getaway from snow trip, came from almost 9 hours away. we had 36 on the schedule for the day, the staff were great when checking in and the starters were a great chat and made you feel welcome. (chatted with them multiple times thru the day was great) food staff was awesome too had lunch was good. we did have a hicup with our cart and no one was answering on our back 9 of 36, we ended up carrying our heavy cart bags from hole 12 on after an already long day sucked but oh well, next day came back to course to grab the truck and eneded up talking to one of the pro sh…

Played this course on a Saturday at the end of May and was not impressed. The biggest issue was that our Cart did not have a rain cover. It started to rain so after nine holes, I asked the clubhouse if they could exchange our cart for one that did have a rain cover and they told me no. When I expressed my displeasure that our bags and all of our equipment were getting soaked, their response was last year none of the carts had rain covers, and now some of them do, which, of course didn’t help our situation at all. The second biggest issue was that they didn’t have a cart girl on a Saturday afte…

We enjoyed our golf day , September 28, 2025 , however there were customer service issues that each of our group experienced beginning with poor upkeep of the washroom facilities (no toilet paper in the Handicap or women's washroom and the men's was out of order). We told the golf shop attendant at the start of our day and at the turn after hole 9 but no action was taken. There are no tee box signs designating which hole you are at nor is there a hole sign with a basic map of the hole nor yardage to assist you. We were greeted cordially by the starter but were not made aware of the lack of sig…

Attended a beautiful wedding here. Location was stunning, staff was amazing, food was great! I do wish there were more obvious signage about where things are, but otherwise, great place for an event.
