In summary

Sun Peaks Resort is frequently praised for its beautiful setting, well-maintained course, and friendly staff, offering a challenging and enjoyable golfing experience with unique holes and stunning views. However, some visitors express concerns about the course's pricing, restrictive policies, and the lack of certain amenities like food options and a driving range. While many find the course worth visiting, others suggest exploring more affordable options in nearby Kamloops.

Had such an amazing golf experience. Thank you to Lauren and her staff for their friendly atmosphere, great selection of merchandise and helpful information with the local attractions. The golf course is in great shape with lots of challenges for all levels of golfers. Definitely a must play.

Great fun course in the mountains, the drivable hole 16 is a hoot and the course is a great place to stop if you are in the area.

This course is beautiful! Did the play all day for $75. Cart included. Got in 45 holes before I called it quits. They were aerating the greens and they were still in good shape. Patches of snow were visible yet fairways were very dry. If you can hit your driver long and straight, you can go for a lot of the par 4's. Especially 16 which is 328 yards and drops 100 feet. Only complaint is #18 is way too easy for a Par 5. Played it 3 times, have a 10 handicap and went birdie, birdie, eagle.

Great course. Well maintained and beautiful course, super friendly staff, (from doug head pro to everyone else ) Need a cart as it’s well spaced out but we can’t wait to come back! Worth every penny to play!

After riding my bike from Kamloops all the way up to Sun Peaks for the much-hyped “Dirty Birdy on the 12th,” my expectations were sky-high, unlike my blood sugar, which plummeted fast due to the absolute absence of food trucks. Let me be clear: I didn’t bike 1,200 vertical meters in clipless shoes for a bottle of lukewarm water and a complimentary glow stick. I came for bass, grilled cheese, and bad decisions. What I got was one out of three. The music? Slapped. DJ Guac delivered a reasonably spicy set, and the 12th hole amphitheater. Yes, a tee box turned bassmusic dancefloor had surprisingl…

Beautiful setting, but the font nine is so narrow that the average 20 HCP player will lose a half dozen balls. No room to miss. Back nine is great, however. A few annoying things about the operation of the course. They make you fill out the longest waiver known to mankind before taking out a cart. Complete overkill. Also, they don't allow cooler bags in the course (they remind you of the rule repeatedly), but there is no water on the course. For a resort that gets very hot and dry in the summer, it's pretty irresponsible. For $130/ round, not really worth it. Stick to the Kamloops courses.

I love to golf this course, but this year no out side alcohol. Bar at hole 1 was not open, no beer cart the whole 18 holes. Might never come back.

Operations and policies are very poorly run. You can't get a rain check when its raining and if you back out its a 100% cancelation fee. Considering 75% of their business comes up from Kamloops you would think they would be a little smarter when it comes to their policies and help you out when the weather can be unpredictable between Kamloops and Sun Peaks. Not to mention staff is pretty unfriendly and couldn't really care about your experience. Course is not worth $130 on a weekend. Pro tip, stay in Kamloops for golf. Any other course is more enjoyable.

This is a real gem of a golf course. It's a must play if you're anyone near Kamloops. The views are amazing and the quality of the course is immaculate. The staff are really friendly and the pace of play was great. The only bad thing is how difficult the course is if you've never played it. But it makes for a great challenge if you're up for it.

We just finished playing 4 rounds at The Golf Course at Sun Peaks Resort. This was our second year. All the staff at the the shop were absolutely amazing and very friendly. The course player assistants/marshals and concession workers were great to talk with and genuinely concerned to see how your day and round was going! Spectacular views throughout the course! On a side note it would be great to see the driving range back :) We will be back soon!
