In summary

St. Andrews by the Lake Golf Course is often praised for its well-maintained, scenic 9-hole layout, offering both challenging and enjoyable play. The staff is frequently highlighted for their friendliness and accommodating service, enhancing the overall experience. However, some guests have noted issues such as the pool being under renovation, inconsistent customer service, and occasional logistical challenges with accommodations and course rules.

Came to St. Andrew’s with a buddy but turned up a few minutes late. Due to the choices made the night before, we were both in desperate need of a pre round hotdog. Our lack of organization was apparent as we had to tee off prior to the dogs being ready (since the kitchen here makes their delicious food fresh to order). We ultimately had to leave the first tee box before the dogs were ready, to chase our lost balls and keep up the pace of play. Tragic right? WRONG! Our hotdogs got DELIVERED TO US ON THE SECOND TEE BOX by a hospitality superhero named Brett. Today, Brett and the St. Andrews team…

Golf course is very well kept. Pro shop and restaurant staff pleasant. Unfortunately , pool is under renovation and is closed. We stayed in one of the rooms for two nights and while the rooms were clean, the bed needed an upgrade - very saggy in the middle. On our second day a group of friends arrived. A few of them, the following morning, so very rudely decided it was ok to be chatting right outside in front of their rooms at 6 a.m. Unbelievable! No consideration for the rest of the patrons! Not sure if we would stay here again.

We were at the resort last year and sorry to say we were disappointed. The weather turned on us rain and cold so didn’t get a golf game in, but was charged for the game . Unfortunately my husband got sick I the middle of the night, and we had to check out the next day . We didn’t expect a complete refund but would have been nice to have something back, so we went back home to get him to a Dr. unfortunately Don’t think we will be back . David and Trudy Hektner

We had an alright game but kept getting held up because of a birthday party a few groups ahead of us. Which we were alright with. But makes for a stressful first drive when you have 2 groups behind waiting and watching. We wanted to play another 9 because we looked and there was no other bookings set for the evening. Until we were told by a marshall we needed to rent another set of clubs. We rented a cart and just played a round with 1 bag. I could understand this rule if we were walking the course but we had a cart. My partner and I have 2 sets but put all the clubs into one bag because I am…

The scenery was beautiful but greens and tee boxes are rough. Our experience was ruined by a staff member named Rick (Marshall). After our 9-hole round with three players, he told us it “should’ve been done 30 minutes ago” (mind you we finished in 1 hour 45 min) an unrealistic expectation for a relaxed game. On top of that, he was rude and mouthy as we were leaving. His attitude was completely unacceptable and left a sour taste after what should have been an enjoyable day. pretty course, but customer service like that makes me think twice about returning. Definitely will absolutely not be retu…

Great golf course with unique challenges including water, undulating terrain and a few cool tee off locations. The staff are just wonderful and accommodating and the course Marshall kept people moving in such a friendly way. Thank you for allowing us to play your course.

We had our wedding here this weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Laurie, the events manager, was an absolute delight to work with. Genuinely one of the nicest, most organized and helpful person we have ever had the pleasure of working with. The facilities are well maintained and the views are unmatched. Whether your wedding is big or small, I highly recommend considering St Andrew’s for your Okanagan wedding.

Check-in: It didn’t go well. After reservation, we received an email explaining the reservation information and a notice that you will receive check-in information a day before your arrival but we never received it. We were lucky to find a person at the restaurant to give us the check-in information but found a person arriving late and couldn’t check-in. Cleanliness: Just normal and you get what you paid. It was good to have water and ice in the service room. Location: not bad but it’s a bit far from Penticton and stores. It was pretty relaxing location with gorgeous views though. The pool w…

I have given this place a lot of service over the last few years and it’s usually always good, but recently I played a round with my brother and his wife and there little 2 year old road along. We got the option on hole #2 to either leave or the mom and the son leave. He wasn’t very happy since he loves to watch his Dad golf…. I didn’t know it was such a big deal coming from the prairies we didn’t have rules where your kids can’t watch you play sports. Crazy. Also there was next to no one on the course and we weren’t holding up anyone. We play pretty quick.

Our foursome have enjoyed the course and restaurant every Tuesday this season. The Staff of St. Andrews by the Lake goes above and beyond. All people (including the groundskeepers) are friendly and accommodating. The restaurant staff are particularly nice to us, and Katherine is always very upbeat and friendly. I cannot express how much I enjoy golfing this course and having my weekly special on Tuesdays. Very much looking forward to the 2025 season. I have my season's pass already!

We played a round of golf here and it was a magnificent day, beautiful course. This is definitely a favourite I will play for complete enjoyment. The surrounding mountains are spectacular! On the way out, we were gifted with these deer, grazing with their young ones. Great place to visit.

Rooms located on main building, big and separated patios, quiet, old but decent rooms, pricey. Pool is under renovation and won't probably be done until next summer. Hotel should clarify this on website and other booking sites. We booked hotel to enjoy pool to find out it was not opened only until we checked in. Construction noise on site. Didn't try the bistro, very old looking. 20+ minute drive to Penticton.
