In summary

Eagle Haven Golf Course is appreciated for its challenging layout, scenic backdrop, and affordability, with some players enjoying the exclusive feel due to its military base location. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with bare tee boxes, poor bunker conditions, and a lack of groundskeeping. Additionally, customer service and pace of play have been points of contention, with some players experiencing delays and unwelcoming staff interactions.

Not kid friendly. Went this past Saturday with my wife and kid. We get in line to start the first hole and the worker that checked us in asked us to wait for the group in front of us to get on the green. After that group gets on the green about 15 minutes later, we begin. We get about half way down the fair way in 5 minutes and he drives down telling us we cant keep playing so slow. Didn't say anything to the group that delayed our start. I offered to let the group behind us play through. I continued to make points about she is a small child and cant hit it super hard. Either way he kicked us…

Some muddy wet spots and standing water in bunkers on a day that had no rain. Other than that, a decent short track for little money. Really can't beat it. Driving range leaves much to be desired and the I didn't see any grounds crew through my entire round. Not sure anyone was on today. Water jugs were all empty and the ball washing stations smell like swamp. Positives: bent grass greens were very receptive to spin and control. Rough cut pretty short and easy to play from. Tee boxes were all in decent shape

The course is in fair to poor shape, at best. Played today and numerous tee boxes on the front nine were ALL dirt. The fairways have many bare spots and overall are in lousy shape. The greens have been punched but with no rain they have not recovered. The driving range is deplorable. 10+ years ago this course was in such better shape in every way...now, it's a ghost of those days. And when I asked about the course condition, the staff tried to minimize the significance and then made excuses...I remember when the tee boxes which today are nothing but dirt, were actually grass tee boxes and the…

Beautiful backdrop, tough design, some very nice holes, but overall the course has seen better days. Cart paths are in bad shape, bunkers are horrible, and a few holes I got lost because there were no signs. Range has no grass- which isnt great. **update** they did work and fixed the major trouble areas on the paths! Overall, for the price, not a bad course to play.

The staff was friendly, and the shop was nice. The course is a little rough looking, and the tee boxes are pretty much all dirt! The porta potty needed to be cleaned out. Then, my door in the inside restroom wouldn't lock or stay shut. The price was good, and we still had fun, but the course needs some work.

Course was in absolutely awful shape. No marshals and pace of play was 5 hours. The base courses were made open to the public to increase cash flow, but the condition has dropped dramatically, while increasing prices for service members, and making it harder to get tee times. Also, the snack cart is pay by card only, but cash only tip. That is stupid. Pro-shop was nice. Restrooms were gross but stocked. Really disappointed, this course was a favorite 4 years ago, as it has challenging topography and great water hazards. Now I'll spend the extra 10 bucks and play a golf course where the tee box…

I can’t say that everyone that golfs here will have the same negative experience that I had. All that I can do is share the facts of the worst golf experience of my life and let it serve as a cautionary tale for anyone looking to spend their hard-earned military paycheck on some recreational golf. First, we were greeted by possibly the least hospitable golf course employee that I’ve ever met. She said the system was down which apparently flustered her beyond the point of having any sense of customer service. No hello, how are you… just “the computer system is down and it’s a free for all out…

I golf here all the time. I love the course and the people who golf here. Feels exclusive. You must be military to golf here btw.

This was my first time playing this course and if you’re not hitting the ball very well, this course can be pretty challenging. It’s on the Little Creek base. Plenty of water hazards throughout the course. There are bunkers throughout the course as well, especially around a majority of the greens and the bunkers are in great condition. The course overall was in good condition except for a few tee boxes didn’t have any grass and a couple of greens had some bad spots. Also, the driving range is right next to the 1st hole and the range doesn’t have a net so there was multiple range balls along th…

Eagle Haven has some the best greens on the Southside. The sand traps are in the best condition that I have seen lately. It is a very demanding course no matter what tees you play from. Ed Collins has done a great even though he hasn't been there that long.

Fond memories of this place when it was in 4 star condition. Currently 2 star condition. Tee boxes devoid of grass. Greens full of crab grass. These things need to improve to counter balance a strange layout with several holes on the front and back 9 paralleling one another.

On the first hole, my friend and I noticed some clubs missing, but didn’t think too much of it. Once we finished and were turning in the clubs, the lady said we had 10 to start but we definitely didn’t. The workers also said that all the Callaway clubs all had 10 clubs, but when my friend and I counted them, none of them had 10. They either had 9 or 8.
