In summary
Bow Creek Golf Course offers a generally pleasant golfing experience with a welcoming atmosphere, reasonable prices, and a layout that suits both beginners and those looking to refine their skills. The course is noted for its small, challenging greens and picturesque setting, though it is currently undergoing renovations. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about maintenance issues, such as poor drainage, inconsistent fairway conditions, and ongoing construction, which can detract from the overall experience.

Decent golfing experience. Very nice clubhouse; rather small for the area however neat and clean. The course was firm on the day we played. Very fast greens due to little to no water being on the course. Most fairways were clean. One hole on the front nine was a bit rough but over a smooth open course ti plan and improve your skill on. I would recommend playing here for beginner players. More experienced players would fine much challenge with this course.

Bow Creek was a pleasant surprise! After reading some of these negative reviews, our expectations were pretty low. There was one hole under construction and another that had lots of bare patches on the fairway, but otherwise it was in great shape! The greens were really nice, the fairways were pretty, even the rough was free of vines and overgrowth! We will def play Bow Creek again!

Due to the closure of the golf course ... sadly everyday the ĥuge oak, pine and tulip popular trees are disappearing to the doings of chainsaws and stump grinders. They are making way for a new and improved(?) Public park. It took years for these trees to become the sky reaching giants giving shade and shelter to the wildlife that abounds here. How I wish they could have incorporated a few stands of these trees in the grand scheme of their park. For now it looks barren and lifeless.

I hear that this place is due to close since the city is not renewing their lease and it's probably well past time for the course to close. It's a shame that the course is dilapidated because the entrance to the place looks so modern and new (rec center) . The price is fantastic, hence the 2 stars but the grounds are a mess. The grass is green, the flags are in place so it operates technically as a golf course but the appearance is lacking. I've been to city owned courses and they are not pristine for a reason- keep the costs low, but this one should probably be free. Sorry to sound harsh but…

Only one reason I think anyone would play here and that would be because you never played here before. Why does this place have "Golf Course" attached to the name? Atrocious is an understatement. Fairways are more like dirt/waterways. Sand traps are ponds. Greens are actually "browns". Completely layered with beach sand so no need for a putter. Tee boxes are nothing more than dirt boxes. Never saw a course with so many roots in the fairways. Roots on all the cart paths are something to see (or feel). Cart paths have more pot holes than 264. How can you bottom out on a cart path?!! Think they t…

The course is almost always in great condition, staff is short handed right now, but still helpful and nice. The greens are a little on the slow side so practice before going out. For 9 or 18 holes, it's a great value though.

Tucked behind a recreational center, Bows Creek hides inside a small suburban neighborhood. The clubhouse, like the recreational center, is a modern and simple design. The staff are very inviting to the players, much like the course itself. It presents a very welcoming place to players new and old. Truly a place that grows the game. The course gives the player simple tee shots and safe second shots, which is refreshing in a time where every course tries to be the hardest course around. Once you get close to the hole, you find the nuance on the greens. The greens are complex enough to engage a…

This is a great cheap course. The driving range is functional. The greens are extremely small, and there are plenty of bizzar shots. If your not a course snob, you'll have a good time. Don't go here thinking it's not going to be on the rough side, but I always enjoy a round here.

Course is in bad shape. Greens are slow. Tee boxes are not cut. Crab grass and weeds everywhere. Guy that works Sunday morning behind counter is an a*****e. There were open tee times Sunday morning and he made us wait until all his little buddies came through the first hole with a shotgun start. Course was completely clear. All he cares about is his little blitz buddies. Yelling at the snack girl in front of guest. I will not be back to this course. There are way better courses and deals out there. Do not waste your 35 dollars on this course.

It's a nice green when it's available. Unfortunately it's right next to a creek and the entire area has poor drainage. So with the slightest rain they restrict you to cart paths only. On top of that this course is located very close to Oceana Air Base so there is a constant stream of jets flying overhead. Really ruins their otherwise beautiful scenery. The lot next to the pro shop is shared with a recreation center that is always busy so even parking can be a chore sometimes. Course isn't maintained that well either.

It's got the basic necessities that a golf course needs and has reasonable prices. The driving range is okay, but if you're really trying to improve your swing and aim this might not be the best place to train. The actual course is decent, but it's surrounded by the neighborhood and you can easily hit someone's house if you're an average golfer. All around you'll have a good time but if you're an above average golfer you probably want to try somewhere else such as Honey Bee or Hell's Point.

Played golf with my Son-In-Law back in the summer. Everything about the golf course was nice, layout of the fairways, greens, hole selections, tee boxes. The only issue that made the scores high that day was drainage. Do not go play this course on a rainy day or the day after. The water has nowhere to go and just sits on the course. Bunkers were so full of murky water that I lost a ball in one.
