In summary

Honey Bee Golf Club is appreciated for its enjoyable course layout, well-maintained greens, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for local golfers. The clubhouse and pro shop receive positive mentions, and the new golf carts are a highlight for many. However, there are consistent criticisms regarding the maintenance of bunkers, which are often unplayable due to flooding and lack of sand, as well as ongoing drainage issues that detract from the overall experience, especially given the course's pricing.

100% DO NOT recommend, especially for the price you are paying. Staff was bragging about how well maintained the course was at the start of the round. And to give credit where it is due, the layout and greens were in good shape. But for a course that has 19-22 sand bunkers on the course, some of the worst maintained hazards in the city AND THERE IS NO CONTEST. I haven’t even mentioned that it was over $150 for 2 players…. And yet not a single bunker is playable in the slightest. Ruts, pipes and sewage plates sticking out the concrete they try to call sand. I have over 80 rounds played on the v…

I have been living by this course for 4 years. The first time I went to a pond to fish I called and asked for permission. I was told as long as they are closed it is fine. Today an older gentleman approached me and told me I can't be there. The course is closed. Didnt argue and apologized. So I called and asked what about the people that walk for exercise or kids that ride their bikes in the evening around the track. Nope everything changed and i almost feel like it was racial but as a traveling man ill keep that to myself and if you are a traveling man I would not play there. Feel free to con…

Very enjoyable course. Staff are really outstanding and go out of their way to make sure you have a great day on the course. Excellent Pro shop and clubhouse. The carts are new and the best I have ever operated in more than 35 years. Green’s are in great shape and many of the holes offer an exciting challenge. Excellent price point for both weekends and week days.

Only some of the grounds are maintained, those that present a well kept image in the front entrance. Grounds in rear, including several dead trees some of which literally fall over and remain on the ground, in addition to grassy spaces that have not been mowed in over a year where grass heights are over 4 feet tall, continue to be neglected and an eyesore for adjacent residents. Shameful disregard for the community next door.

One of the best public courses in the area. Slightly overpriced at $67, but still a great course that is easy for golfers of all skill levels.

Honey Bee is one of the more expensive public courses in the area. It’s under 6,000 yards from the back tees so a relatively short course. Greens are in great shape. Our tee times did get screwed up by an hour and the course does not call to confirm tee times before arrival but the course was not busy at all for a Saturday so we were able to get out on the course with no issues. There are some areas of the course that are having drainage issues or they may be having a leak or sprinkler issues as there were very large puddles of water in multiple areas of the course even though it hasn’t rained…

Played 9 holes after work. The gentleman in the clubhouse was friendly and helpful. The fairways and greens were in pretty good shape but anything outside of those was not well maintained. Great layout but fairly short.

Love the layout of the course, and the clubhouse is fantastic. Its a shame that the maintenance of the course itself is poor. Bunkers are usually flooded with water, the bunkers also never have any sand in them and are covered with rocks and pebbles. This would be okay if it wasn't for the price. Having to spend 65-70$ on this course for non playable bunkers and aerated greens is not worth your time, especially with the myriad of other options close by.

Late season round, bunkers were horrible as most were either flooded or unplayable, hadn't had rain in several days pushing a week. Easy enough proshop experience and beverage cart was available enough.

Course Is fun to play, however the greens are hit or miss. Not maintained well enough for cost to play here. I would give them 4 stars if they weren’t as overpriced. VB national twilight for 9 holes is the same price, and it’s a much nicer course. A lot of the greens are pretty beat up

I've played Honeybee for over 10 years now and it's gotten really bad lately. Drainage issues are horrendous and management isn't doing anything about it. There's no reason I should lose 4-5 balls during a round simply because they went into a bunker. They're full of water and the ones that aren't are like concrete instead of sand. And a new first today having the ground crew turning on sprinklers while players are on the course?!?! Prices have been raised to $66.00 for a round on what is turning into a goat track. Hey, new carts but I'm not paying that much to subsidize them and be forced to…
