In summary

Eagle Mountain Golf Course is praised for its charming historic ambiance, stunning mountain views, and attentive staff, making it a favored destination for weddings and family gatherings. Guests appreciate the cozy amenities, such as the game room and dog-friendly trails, though some find the rooms dated and the recent renovations have mixed reviews regarding the preservation of the hotel's historic charm. Criticisms include maintenance issues like non-functional elevators and inconsistent service experiences, with some guests noting concerns about room cleanliness and pest presence.

We loved our time as a family of four plus pup after Christmas. This dog-friendly historic inn was very close to dog friendly x-country trails. We especially enjoyed this cozy room off the lobby with puzzles, Catan and free coffee by the fire. Downstairs there’s a game room with a small arcade which the kids really enjoyed. The bar and dining area were also great, but I do wish the menu included a few more GF options. Lots of items I’d normally expect to be gluten free were not like lamb shank, short ribs and steak. Overall a wonderful experience!

The establishment, though older, has been updated. It offers a quiet atmosphere, and the staff members were truly exceptional, being both friendly and helpful. While the elevator was a little intimidating, it was certainly functional. The on-site restaurant and bar were pleasant, and the food was well-prepared. Our room provided breathtaking views of the mountains and was very comfortable. We certainly felt a warm welcome throughout our stay. There is also a game room available for guests, which we observed but did not utilize.

Rooms were dated and the property needs some serious repairs. The windows had gaps. Then there was a verrryyyy old heating system which was on all the time. No way to switch it off, the old lever was stuck. But it was 24C outside so the aircon needed to be left on. The lobby was beautiful, the outdoor veranda was awesome with lovely views. We had dinner in the hotel, they ran out of some dishes. What we ordered was ok. The lady serving us was nice. The table we got was in a great spot but the floor was very dirty, takes 2 mins to clean up. They ran out of coffee in the morning and while one…

Our stay was nothing like a year or two ago. There was no working elevator which makes it very difficult and uncomfortable for those with mobility issues.. Staff did not seem concerned that this created a hardship. No offers to relocate us to a different room where we would not need to climb stairs. Housekeeping was cleaning rooms next to ours until 7:30 pm. A lot of the charm of the hotel seems to have disappeared with the renovations. A beautiful location but service and guest experience does not seem to be what it used to be. We love Jackson but will stay at a different hotel next time.

Stayed here during one of their busiest weeks of the year. Staff was pleasant, room met expectations given the age of the building, and the trail hike directly was a good quick walk for my pup and I. Unfortunately their elevator was down so we and more importantly all the senior citizens were hauling luggage up flights of stairs. Max the bartender was an amazing mixologist and I greatly enjoyed their bar. Food was okay in the restaurant but nothing special. Good spot for families with kids and people traveling with a dog. Views were spectacular and the porch was truly spectacular!

I grew up going to Eagle Mountian house every summer . We loved the veranda , and the historic charm Eagle mountian house offered . You felt as if you had stepped back in time , with a hint of the past around every corner . We had stopped going for a while because it seemed as if the veranda was always closed off or being used for a wedding Then family grew up and many moved out of New England . My husband I would return to NH often , but for whatever reason did not have a chance to stay at the Eagle Mountian house .We did stop in occasionally for breakfast. This past trip we stayed . The r…

Just had Thanksgiving dinner there, with 6 family members. The meal was outstanding, the ambiance was delightful, the wait staff was very attentive and so friendly. We had the most enjoyable day. This is our new go to establishment for all occasions. Thank you Eagle Mountain house. Martinese & Goodman family.

Our daughter and now son in law choose this resort for their wedding venue and we could not be happier. Their wedding coordinator, Linda, who works at the Eagle Mtn Resort, was impeccable! Her eye for detail and style for ideas were amazing. She made the wedding of their dreams come true! We were floored at every turn with our entire stay throughout the entire weekend. Our whole family had an amazing time!! Thank you!!

Stayed here for 2 nights for the Columbus day weekend vacation. This was the worst stay for me and my family ever had in our life. There was so many bugs in the room as soon as we enter the room. We complained to the front desk and the manager and they didn't do anything. My kids were so afraid and didn't sleep for 2 nights. They had the worse nightmare ever. The bugs were crawling on the walls and flying inside the room. They didn't give us a new room. The curtains were so old and ripped. Wouldn't recommend anyone to go there.

Authentic CLASSIC New England….. Literally jumping out of a Currier and Ives print. Unpretentious, excellent service. Charming rooms that feel like they jump out of the pages of a novel. A+ would recommend.

We had our wedding at the Eagle Mountain House, and it was truly the perfect place to host our special day! From the very beginning, Linda was incredible to work with—she patiently answered all of my questions and made the planning process smooth and stress-free. On the big day, Linda and Lori went above and beyond to bring my vision to life. Every detail was exactly how I had imagined it. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, but what really made the experience exceptional was the amazing staff. The wait staff were attentive and kind—when my sister accidentally got ketchup on her dress,…
