In summary

Elkhorn Ridge Golf Club is highly praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and stunning views, with many golfers appreciating the elevation changes and unique hole designs. The staff is generally regarded as friendly and helpful, contributing to a positive experience, and the facilities, including the clubhouse and pro shop, are noted for their quality. However, some visitors have experienced slow pace of play and occasional service issues, such as limited restaurant options on certain days and inflexible policies regarding non-golfing riders.

Great golfcourse. Enjoyed plating there in a Booking hot day. Course in excellent conditions and service was great from start tonfinich except for the cart girl, who sat at either hole 1 or 10 the whole time we played. Would have assumed that she would drive around especialy in sich a hot day. I don't think anybody would need something at the holes just after leading the club house.

Good value. Great variety of holes with lots of elevation changes leading to nice views.

This is a really enjoyable course to play. The front 9 is in a new housing development distinguished by a dramatic drop in elevation on hole 5 and bunkers formed to look like elk tracks. But the bright stars are on the back 9. Holes 12, 13, and 14 in particular are stunning. Nice facilities. Helpful staff. Check it out!

Played 18 here with the family while in town on vacation. The clubhouse and restaurant area were super nice. Very spacious and had a lot of options. The pro shop women were very helpful and nice. Many options for hats, towels, shirts etc. The restaurant looked very nice but limited selections on Monday, which the food was overly expensive. We got a burrito which was just microwaved and not that great considering the price. The golf course was in incredible shape! The fairways were lush and green. The front 9 starting holes were difficult with blind tee shots (men’s tees). But the elevation cha…

Prior to this year, I hadn't played golf in 28 years, and my wife had never played. We were a bit nervous but the staff is very friendly, and the course is gorgeous. There are great views, plenty of challenge and length off the tougher tees, and accessibility via the shorter tees for beginners.

Very well maintained course, lots of really interesting holes. There are some blind shots that I feel could use some sort of marker to get at least some idea of where to hit. Pace of play was terrible (5 and a half hours). No Marshalls or drink cart.

I was highly disappointed with the service I received at Elkhorn. My husband and I booked a tee time for just him to golf and me to ride along on our honeymoon, which we have done many, many times before. We would’ve even paid a rider fee, we didn’t expect me to be able to go for free. When we got there, they would only allow my husband to ride with the other stranger who had booked the same tee time and wouldn’t allow me to come at all. We understand policies but some flexibility would be nice. Definitely lost what would’ve been life long customers with that one. :(

Very busy considering it was a Monday. The course is in great condition. Pace of play was good. Word of advice. If you go there Monday through Wednesday, they don't have a full menu at their restaurant. Just sandwiches and chips, grab and go food at a premium cost.

Having grown up in Rapid City as a lifetime golfer, Elkhorn Ridge is a top tier course in the state. Definitely worth the trip. A must-play experience for the casual tourists and golf enthusiasts alike. I’ve played all over the world (Pebble, Old Course, Sawgrass, etc) and for a course in SD you will be impressed with the value. Fantastic conditions, well manicured fairways and greens, great scenery and fun golf for all skill levels from beginner to scratch. JR and Mike (GM and Head Pro) are part of the secret sauce that make this place truly great. Last month I was fitted for a full bag of n…

I've been coming to Elkhorn Ridge for a couple of years now, and I have to give kudos to Dalton—one of the pros at Elkhorn. I developed a severe case of the yips (not that I was very good to begin with), but Dalton literally fixed them and improved my swing and overall play in just two lessons. My yardage has increased with all of my clubs, and the vast majority of my shots—from driver to wedges—are going straight. I'm still amazed. Dalton's training and education in both golf and teaching really show. Thank you, Dalton!

A challenging course through the pines and fields with so many amazing views. What makes this such a great golf course is the staff. The pros in the golf shop are helpful, knowledgeable and fun to take lessons with. The maintenance staff does an outstanding job to keep the challenging course top notch. The Miller Creek Pub staff provides friendly service, great food and cold refreshments Accolades to all for their efforts to make each round of golf a memorable one.

I've been a member at the Elkhorn Ridge Golf Club since it opened as a 9 hole course. It is one of my favorite courses in South Dakota! I love the cats with GPS, USB chargers and speakers with blue tooth capability. The course was in great shape in 2022. The pro shop and the course staff are great. Looking forward to improvements from the Miller Creek Pub as it feels a little disconnected from the course. As a member, I'd love to get the feel you get at other club restaurants in the area. I'm sure that will come with time. Overall, I'm there to golf and enjoy the course I truly do! Hoping for…
