In summary

Fairways Golf Club is praised for its well-maintained course, strategic layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both beginners and seasoned golfers. The course offers a unique challenge with its par 65 design and smaller greens, and features amenities like a historic clubhouse and practice areas. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play and occasional staff unprofessionalism, which can detract from the overall experience.

What a wonderful par 4 and under course. A great price for someone who doesn't golf all the time. The food and drinks are very reasonable. We got through all 18 in about 3 hours and 20 minutes. Try the turkey club.

Fairways golf course offers a truly unique experience: a par 65 course that still takes 3 hours to play. With a historic building for a clubhouse/bar, smaller greens (but big enough at the right spots), relatively tight fairways, and strategic design, Fairways will make you wish you were the only one on the course. However, you are not. As with other course in the area, Fairways sports many leagues, so playing solo is a real rarity, as you are more likely to find yourself behind a foursome more interested in each player’s shot than keeping things moving. Despite the pace of play, lack of par 5…

The starter berated a pair of woman in front of us and it was very uncomfortable to watch. As if that wasn't enough, when we came back around to the 10th tee, he stared us down like we did something wrong. When we asked him if everything was alright, he just continued to stare us down and didn't say anything, making it extremely awkward. This was just an unacceptable level of unprofessionalism and ruined our round. Aside from that, the fairways were overcut and felt like hitting off of dry turf. Not worth the price of admission, as there are much better options nearby (PineCrest & Five Ponds)…

Getting back into golf and this place is a nice beginner course. Easy to get appointments and course is in great shape. Enjoy playing there.

(October 2020) Excellently maintained greens, tee boxes, and cart paths. No par 5s, so the course plays quickly. Wide fairways, so you never are on top of anyone else. Only gripe is that you have to call to make a tee time, no online reservations; I had to call a few times before I got an answer. Overall, highly recommended.

All I can say is WOW! I'm just getting back into the game after mostly a 25-year hiatus (life just got in the way). I've been hitting the range and seeking a course that I could play that looked somewhat reasonable for a relative newbie. Made a tee-time for Monday morning 11/10 and decided to take a ride over Sunday afternoon just to check the place out and see what it was like. I walked down to the 1st and 10th tee boxes and was immediately impressed with the condition the course appeared to be in. Ran into John, one of the starters, and struck up a very pleasant 20 minute conversation (Hi J…

Worst experience I’ve had playing golf. No ranger all day. I know there was a frost delay but the people playing in front of us were hitting 2 to 3 shots each only got 9 holes in started at 11:45 and finished 9 by 3 pm pretty sad

It's great course to play. If you're an average player, it'll make you feel good, but you can also take beginners there because it's not very long and it's still a lot of fun

The entire coarse was in great shape. Even the tee boxes were gorgeous. John was great setting up my tee time, and Joe was just as great upon our arrival, in getting us going.

Great walking course for seniors or beginners. Short walk and always really nice conditions for the price. Don't expect to play fast but it's still a great value if you set expectations.

Want to update the review since I just went back the first time in 2 years. Great experience and don't expect to hit driver much. Anybody with negative experiences must have been on an off day because every single person, from the staff to the golfers, was a delight to be around. Not a single speaker playing loud enough to be heard anywhere else on the course the entire round, first time in at least a year I've been able to say that. The golfers and the staff respect the course and other players. Such friendly staff even to new people, we will be back sooner than 2 years this time!
