This course is par excellence! Well worth it if you get a chance! I had the opportunity to play it during a golf tournament. It is a beautiful course with pristine fairways! The greens are very fast but manageable with the right approach shot. I would love to play it again but it’s private so the next opportunity will most likely be a tournament!

Beautiful facilities that first opened around 1921. Beautiful tree lined entrance sets the stage for your arrival. Very well manicured course. Club House speaks of "Carolina" Golf from the moment you arrive.

Florence Country Club is an absolute gem in South Carolina. The course conditions are perfect, with beautifully manicured fairways that roll gracefully through the property. Each hole is a visual masterpiece, creating both aesthetic appeal and strategic challenges. The bunkers are expertly maintained with consistent sand quality that tests your skills without feeling unfair. What makes this course special is its thoughtful design that rewards precision while offering recovery opportunities. While the original designer is unknown, the layout features several tee shots requiring careful placeme…

Played this course 4 or 5 times and the course is very fun and nice the staff and some of the members are not.Had members throw racial remarks and tell me that I was under dressed when the member that said that to me was wearing old faded clothes looked like they where very old the pro liked all the money I spent in the pro shop but also had some lies to say about me and my hole party that was all family members.they said I didn't rake a sand trap when he said that to me I was standing in it kind of hard to rack and hit a shot bottom line my skin is tanned and they don't like that if you know…

I really enjoyed the lunch buffet today with my friends. The mashed potatoes and chicken were super. The pie and coffee were especially good. The atmosphere was fancy but not overly and the waitress was delightful and right on top of keeping our table organized. There were a bunch of us so it couldn't have been easy for her. I really liked her but I forgot to ask her name. :(

Very friendly staff all around in the pro shop and kitchen, scenic, well kept, challenging holes w lots of bunkers, lovely views, welcoming and just good ol' southern hospitality. Food was made fresh and was made with love. We will for sure be back!

My wife and I were there for a wedding. The grounds were clean impeccable. The interior was very grand. The wedding reception was very nicely decorated and fit in to the country clubs theme. The country club staff were on top of there game, only coming out of they quarters to help if help was needed. The wedding couple wanted this so it felt 5 star level. It was. The food was very well prepared. We were there during evening hours and only saw the grounds for an hour or two at most. However the little we saw made you feel like you were in a southern painting, big wispy Spanish Moss trees, other…

First off I am not a member or a golfer. The company I work for has our anniversary lunch here and I look forward to the great food each time. I just wish I could eat there a little more often. The service we get as a group has always been spectacular.

Decent food, an army of wait staff, a cool baby grand piano in the lobby--it's the picture of class and sophistication. The drive into the FCC is majestic, like visiting a more understated Palace of Versailles. The greens are immaculately maintained, but that's from the perspective of a non-golfer; your mileage may vary. Great event space overall.

Since I'm not a member, I enjoy every opportunity I can to play here. The greens are FAST, the rough penalizes you just enough and the fairways are in great shape. By far the best course in the Florence area.
