In summary

Forest Golf & Country Hotel receives high praise for its friendly and accommodating staff, excellent dining experiences, and well-maintained golf courses, which are enjoyable for both casual and serious golfers. The hotel is appreciated for its clean rooms and peaceful setting, though some guests have noted issues with room amenities like lighting and noise from connecting rooms. While the golf course generally receives positive feedback, some visitors have mentioned concerns about the condition of the greens and tee boxes, as well as slow pace of play during busy times.

I didn’t know what to expect with this hotel as there were no proper photos of any of the hotel rooms online. I booked a deluxe room with 2 queen beds. The rooms were clean and the beds were fine. The pillows were lumpy - probably best to bring your own pillow from home. We were given a room that could be made into a connecting room, so it was quite loud. We could easily hear the guests in the next room when their tv was on or if they were having a conversation at regular level. The staff were quite friendly and welcoming. If I needed a hotel in Forest again, I’d book here again, but I’d br…

We had our family Christmas dinner catered from here and it was devine! We received a whole turkey, roasted potatoes, brussel sprouts, squash, gravy, cranberries AND Christmas pudding with sauce! This meal fed 8 adults and we had leftovers for only $192. The turkey was out of this world moist, the gravy was amazing, I've never seen squash get eaten so fast before nor have I seen people actually go for seconds on sprouts! The whole meal was delicious. No cooking, no longer lines at the grocery store, no missed memories while being stuck in the kitchen while everyone else celebrates. 2025 was t…

We booked a 5 day 4 night stay here for our honeymoon and had the best time! The staff were super friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay extra special. Food was excellent, everything we ordered was great. There wasn’t a single dish we had any complaints about. The 18 and 9 hole courses were both fun to play. Definitely hoping to come back for more anniversaries/vacations in the future.

We stopped in for breakfast at the Forest Golf Club Diner and were so impressed! The food was served fast, fresh, and absolutely delicious — we had the 2-egg breakfast and the toasted western, both cooked perfectly. The service was remarkable, and Tanner, our waiter, was so polite, kind, and attentive — truly a great worker. You can tell the staff take pride in what they do. Highly recommend starting your day here!

The Golf course is immaculate, the food is always AMAZING. The location of the golf club is perfect for our small community. It brings incredible shows too that are always so special!

This is for dining only. We visited for lunch on a weekday. We were one of the only tables in the dining room. It appeared recently renovated and the booth benches were very comfortable. I had the jerk Caesar wrap, my mom had the corn and avocado salad and my daughter had chicken strips and fries. The food came out quickly and was very good. The view of the golf course was very relaxing. After lunch we used the washroom. It was well maintained but had decor from the 70s, which I found charming.

Check in process and staff very good. Food was excellent every meal for each guy was done perfectly. Steak was excellent also. Golf, if you decide to go keep this in mind. Our goal was to get together with friends have fun and make memories. That was accomplished. If you’re are going to experience a nice course, this is not it. I have never played on worse tee boxes ever, same position each day and beat up big time. The fairways are watered but hard as rocks, I think I had one divot the entire time. Greens are beyond unpredictable, you can hit a lob wedge 60 yards high and soft and great chanc…

We had a terrific time staying here. The prices were good and the staff were very efficient and friendly. The food and drinks were excellent (kudos to the bartender for making a superb Old Fahioned) and the restaurant staff were wonderful and very knowledgeable. We would definitely stay here again!

Did not stay at the Inn. Went for a Whiskey Pairing evening. The food was excellent and the Whiskey they selected complimented the food well.

I have been going to forest for a few years now, 2-3 x a year. There is a few of us that all go multiple times throughout the season. This year was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve had. We have a group that comes to stay, and we book a year in advance specifically for this stay every year. This year the pro shop manager was completely un-organized, rude and had terrible communication skills. There was no tee time organization, the tee times were poorly managed and so slow. I was stuck behind three large groups of 6+ people who were taking 30-45minutes on one hole. We were restricted on…

We thought the staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean (although the beds could be a little softer for my liking). The pro shop staff were great. Even though it was our first time golfing there they made us feel comfortable. The course is in fairly good condition after the terrible rainy summer we've had. The food was good. The presentation was excellent for a golf course. Prices are on the high side but tell me what hasn't gone up. Food and beverage staff were very friendly. My only complaint would be the breakfast buffet. Not enough varieties and cold. Saying that ev…
