In summary

Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina, is frequently praised for its well-maintained golf course, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both casual rounds and events. The club offers a range of amenities, including a welcoming clubhouse and a well-kept pool area, adding to its appeal. Forest Oaks is a phenomenal public course located in Greensboro, North Carolina with a lot of history. The course has the distinction of having hosted the Greater Greensboro Open on the PGA Tour from 1977 to 2007. The course features wide fairways and large fast greens with severely undulating slopes making approach shot accuracy vital to recording a good score. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and made for an enjoyable round.

Absolutely loved playing at Forest Oaks. Even though it was a little wet and cart path only, it didn’t take away from the gem that it is. I don’t think I’ve ever had that much fun playing a course for the first time. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back.

My favorite place for golf, food and entertainment! Best course and truly the best food for the money! Chef Eric is over the top amazing! So excited to be apart of it and you should join if you are looking for a country club!

We recently hosted a Golf Benefit for my nephew, Landon, at Forest Oaks Country Club, and I cannot express enough how incredible the entire experience was. From the moment we began planning, the staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. Their commitment to excellent customer service is truly unmatched. The golf course itself is stunning—beautifully manicured greens, picturesque views, and a layout that both challenges and delights golfers of all skill levels. It was the perfect setting for our event, and our guests couldn't stop raving about how immaculate the course was…

Loved the course but when you were not putting over the horrid number of ball marks on the greens, the greens were very nice. They need to do more about having members and public repair ball marks.

The rough is ridiculously deep. We are all 80's golfers, and it took us 5 1/2 hours to play from hunting balls in the rough. I can't believe members tolerate that. It's just horrible, when you can't find a ball 12" off the fairway.

Hit there today for the first time in 12 or 15 years. Up side. Course was in very good condition. Much better than the last time. Nice tee boxes, fairways and greens. (Greens little slower than I prefer but still nice.) Down Side, very expensive. My buddy who is a member if a reciprocal course also had to pay $76:00 just like I did. Carts where GPS'ed so tight you could not take the cart to your bags in the parking lot. 1st water jug hole was dry and it was going to be 93' today. No water in the ball washers on several holes and no towels on most of them. Just a little mixed on if I want to jo…

This is really a 4.5 rating for me. A really good golf course that was in good, but not great shape. The bermuda rough was long and thick...the ball went right to the bottom and very hard to find. Fairways and greens were pretty good, but not the best we played on our week in Greensboro. A great layout that is fun to play and friendly people made this an enjoyable round, and a course that I would recommend. I did find it odd that the restaurant was closed in mid afternoon.

Green fees too expensive for seniors on Fridays! I understand Saturday & Sunday ! Rough is toughest I've played this year ! Greens in recovery from summer heat mode !

Annual golf trip with a group of 12. Great quality course, greens fast, fairways were lush. Only downside was no beverage cart during the weekdays and the rough was very long, tough to find a ball. Overall great course and the group approved.

Since being purchased last year (2019) by two local businessmen the Forest Oaks country club has seen nothing but constant upgrades and positive changes. Enhancements to the golf course, addling pickle ball courts, major upgrades to the club house and redoing the swimming pool are just a few of the works that have been accomplished with more going on all the time. I have been amazed at how much has been done in such a short time. Much praise to the new owners for a fantastic job in improving the club.
