In summary

Fox Hollow Golf Club receives praise for its challenging layout and scenic setting, with some visitors appreciating the well-maintained fairways and greens. However, several reviews mention concerns about the course's overall condition and the slow pace of play, with some guests experiencing unwelcoming interactions with staff. While some visitors enjoyed the amenities and found the course enjoyable, others felt the experience did not justify the cost.

We booked Fox Hollow Golf Course as part of our annual birthday golf weekend, and honestly, it was the worst round of the trip by far. The course is in rough shape—dry, patchy, and clearly not well maintained. The greens were okay, but everything else looked neglected. For a course that markets itself as a quality experience, this was pretty disappointing. But the real issue? The pace of play was an absolute joke. Our round took over 5 and a half hours. That’s not just slow—that’s completely unacceptable. We spoke to the cart attendant, who even admitted it was taking way too long and said t…

Played it November of 25. It was firm and fast. I’ve been a fan of this club since the 90’s. Great staff. Always keep an eye on the water’s edge 😳

Gotta agree with other reviews recently, the course condition and experience does not nearly justify the price. There were several areas surrounding bunkers (not in the bunkers) that were not maintained and just covered with sand. Also in the first cut of rough and even on the greens, definitely a lot of spots struggling. Got yelled at twice by two different staff members for our pace of play, one of the starters even flipped us off after hole 9 which really ruined the vibes of our round. We finished in 4:15 but it was 50 degrees with consistent 30-40mph wind gusts. In addition, we realized a…

The course is in bad shape. The greens and rough are both really bad. The average municipal course in the northeast is better. If it was 1/3 of the price then 3 stars would be fair but $140 is laughable. The greens have dead/bare spots all throughout and the rough has tons of bare patches- these are not dormant bermuda issues. Looking at past reviews, it seems as though these issues existed before the bermuda rough went dormant, reiterating the fact that the issues aren't dormant bermuda related. If you're making improvements, that's commendable but price the course accordingly. The only pro…

Have been playing golf for roughly 15 years now. Came to the course and due to frost this morning, tee times were delayed about 45 minutes. Not really an issue or bothersome at all and very understanding. Sadly what is frustrating is when the ranger discusses that your pace of play is slow and you need to speed up the round. Considering we were waiting for the group in front of us to clear repeatedly before we teed off and the round was already delayed, I think it’s within reason that the round is going to be slow given the frost issue. Additionally, course had good amount of grounds under re…

Fairways roll gently and the layout plays a decent round with enough challenge to keep things interesting without wearing you out. Greens are getting fresh turf for a smoother roll, and the range and short-game areas make warming up or working on your swing simple. A casual bite or drink at the Grille afterward is a nice wrap-up, even if it’s not anything fancy. All in all, priced fairly and well maintained enough that it’s a good regular-round spot rather than just a pretty one.

Would give this zeroes stars but the cart girl was great. Had a 12:32 tee off and didn’t get to start until 12:42. Was backed up on every hole. Took 2.5 hours to get through 9 holes. Quit after teeing off on 15 because we were at the four hour mark and were over the whole experience. Course was not in great shape, the rough was brown and dead, several holes had sand in them. They either need to spread out their tee times or have the ranger stay on top of the groups on the course.

Probably one of my favorite courses in the area those last 3-4 holes are so beautiful! Not to take away from the rest of the course it is such a nice course and maintained well. The carts have the best gps in a cart I have ever seen as well so that's an added bonus! Highly recommend this course

Had a fun time at the Fox. Got a $32 deal from their website. I'd say that is a fair price The fairways and greens were in great condition. The layout has some really challenging holes. The back 9 was more fun than the front nine. There were several interesting green placements. This course winds through the middle of a housing development, but it never felt crowded, and the houses never came into play. Several big Gators on the course, they won't bug you unless you bug them, but it's good to be aware. Only saw the cart person once, but there are plenty of waterstations. Come check out Fox Hol…

The course was very well designed, and scenic at times, but the greens were not in the best shape compared to other courses we played that week. Mostly just inconsistent. Workers seemed very perturbed about pace of play, probably due to reviews...and I get it but no reason to just yell at people (not us, another group). Would play again, and hope for a better experience. Food at the club house was very good! Definitely schedule time for breakfast if you have a morning tee time!

10/10 recommend. We’re visiting from out of state, this is the 3rd course we’ve been to and it was a lot of fun. Nice course, saw some gaters and the food was great!

We went for dinner 🍽. Burger was good. Far from impressed. Was told it was a nice restaurant. Told table clothes and no jeans. Not the case. It was a burger 🍔 joint, with out any atmosphere.
