In summary

Wentworth Golf Club is noted for its friendly and attentive staff, as well as its attractive venue for events. However, many reviewers express significant dissatisfaction with the current condition of the golf course, citing issues such as poor maintenance of greens and fairways, and inadequate irrigation. While some appreciate the efforts of the new ownership to improve the course, others feel it is currently unplayable and not worth the cost.

This golf course is quite long and is connected to a challenging layout. Due to water supply issues, the course is currently very dry. However, it is a great place for beginner golfers. The price is affordable, the carts are clean, and the staff are extremely kind and friendly, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. One downside is that the greens are not in good condition, so it’s difficult to practice putting. I hope the water supply issue gets resolved soon and that this course becomes a well-loved golf destination for many people.

This is literally an unplayable golf course. The drought has destroyed 90% of the fairways & there is not a single green that is puttable. It is so bad its almost comical. if you’re just looking to smack golf balls like a driving range & not put, then its fine. It’s cheap, $20 for 18 holes, cart rentals of $20 additionally.

Worse course I'm Pinellas county. Awful condition and the ownership should be completed embarrassed. Look closely and you'll notice these are mostly the greens you can see the flag pole laying on the ground the holes cannot support them to stay in place. Disaster February 2026

Refurbished, like new condition. $100obo. Text only. In all seriousness. This course has gone to trash. Not worth the $40 we played. Instead of spending money on new golf carts, you should fix this course. No fairways, all brown. All sandtraps were closed and looked horrible. Greens were...brown. One had no hole and just a dirt circle. Flag was on the ground. It was comical.

This course is in unbelievably poor shape, almost looks as if it was abandoned and left to nature. Greens are dead except for the weeds, weeds in the bunkers, random patches of grass/weeds growing in the fairway as well as large bald spots. Tee boxes are in terrible shape ranging from overgrown with weeds to basically hitting off sand. Used to be a decent course not even that long ago, such a shame. Hope they get it back on track because the staff is always great and the course layout is very nice. One of my favorites when it was in decent shape

So I wanted to share my experience at Wentworth Golf Course. I have played this course many times over the past 20 years, and must say that it is challenging and in the past been in very good condition. However, I realize that the course in the past few months-years maybe has declined in condition and playability. I have been receiving emails lately about the changes and upgrades, etc. So with very low expectations, I thought I would give it go today. I KNEW IT WAS NOT GOING TO BE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, BUT……. I was not prepared mentally for what I witnessed…. It was literally a lunar landsca…

We used to live in the area and played the Wentworth course almost once per week. It was always in decent shape. We traveled back into town on our vacation and I wanted to play there for nostalgic purposes. We played today and it was in horrendous shape. The greens were Sandy and bumpy, the fairways were full of weeds, there was even grass growing up through the sand in the sand traps. I could not believe how unkept the course was. The only saving grace today was the good customer service from the employee running the pro shop today. Not sure what is going on, but would not currently recommend…

I have been the event photographer for a couple years for a dental office’s holiday party and the venue is perfect. They are so attentive, the team works together in a timely manner with the courses and at the bar, and the guests feel so special. There is room for a dance floor in the middle and tables all around. The entrance is welcoming, beautiful, and large. The back porch is another place that they utilize in the whole place is fancy and beautiful with plenty of parking. The owner loves her job and I always leave with a big smile on my face. The venue can make or break an event and this…

This course fell off a cliff. Not playable, no carts, owners ruined a perfectly good track - just sad too see what their poor, negligence has done to this course.

Played 2/16/26. This course is NOT playable period! It literally should be closed for a full reconstruction. The greens are non existant. They have NO grass and are not maintained like the rest of the course. Putting is simply useless. The fairways are a wasteland with more weeds than grass. The one bright spot of the course was Holly in the clubhouse. She was very polite and welcoming.

Beautiful and Great golf course. It was my 1st time here and even after heavy rains these last weeks, it was very well cared. The amenities are in great shape. From the carts, the pace, the price, the greens and fairways, not leaving the great and amicable staff, I really had an awesome round of golf here!
