In summary

Tarpon Woods Golf Club offers a scenic setting with wildlife and has a friendly staff, but the course conditions are a major point of contention among visitors. Many reviews highlight significant issues with the greens, fairways, and tee boxes, describing them as poorly maintained and often unplayable. While some acknowledge ongoing efforts to improve, others feel the current state does not justify the cost.

I cannot believe they charge to play this course. The whole course is dead. It’s dead grass and dirt spray painted green… the tee boxes are just dirt so it’s hard to even get a tee to stand up. Horrible condition. Would not play here again

To say this course is in bad condition is understatement. I’ve played some bad courses before, but nothing prepared me for what I was getting myself into. The greens were absolutely destroyed and completely unplayable, the tee boxes were so bad and completely nonexistent. It was equivalent to playing on a sandbox. To charge $30 for a course in this shape is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. I couldn’t play majority of the holes because the conditions were so poor. With no advisory of the conditions of the course from the pro shop, a reimbursement is well due.

A perfect place for those learning the game. I brought my GF here and she was a stone cold beginner. We didn't hold anyone up and she was able to get some experience in what she called a "Peaceful place". This would also be good for juniors or if you wanted to down a few with friends on a nice day. Is it a great course? No... But there is a place for lesser courses in the game. Think about that before leaving 1 star reviews.

The course was in terrible shape, but to be honest that wasn't the real problem. I will never come back to this place because of the guy in the pro shop. Just a rude guy who doesn't want to be there and he knows he's being rude because my uncle was trying to find the bathroom and he chased my uncle down because he thought he was going to find his boss and tell him how rude he is. Completely ruined our whole round starting off dealing with that guy

It's definitely getting better you can tell they're trying but a lot of the fairways and tee boxes are still in really bad shape. Most of the greens are in pretty good condition though not all of them.

The course was in terrible shape, they stated they were reseeding the fairways. It was nothing but weeds and a sand pit, it hasn't been taken care of in years, it was $39.00 to play, which was way too expensive for what it looked like. The greens had holes all over it. The clubhouse smelled so bad of mold, restaurant had plastic up, and broken windows. Would not go back there under those conditions.

This was the worst course we have ever played. You can’t even say they had “Greens” because they were un-puttable. The pro shop told me a “couple of greens were scraped for reseeding” but out of the 18 holes we managed to play, there was two tolerable. Tee Boxes where weeds, the Cart path was over grown with weeds…. Fairway…. Nope , fringe, non existent… even for $35 ish a player NOT worth it!

I was there today with a whole group of people playing a shotgun type of match. It was so much fun! This golf course is looking to upgrade everything over the next year. We are very excited! Let’s all give them a chance!

I should have listed to the reviews. The course is abandoned! I mean it. The tee boxes are bare with weeds everywhere. The rough is so overgrown!! The greens are not greens. They are disgraceful! So sad to see a course in this kind of condition!!

Waste of time, waste of play. Fairways are full of weeds, greens are sand yellow grass and bumpy. I understand they are rebuilding but it’s not even feasible to pay $38 for. Hitting out of the farway could have been considered a provisional

The golf was what you paid for. I liked the Corporate Foundation and the helping of Veterans and First Responders by the owners. Course needs some work, some holes were great, other holes were poor. Club house needs a little attention as well.

Course needs some TLC, please work on improving the course conditions and spend some money on the club house!
